Any particular reason why you chose Tracks as your victim?  

 

xD! Haha. Tracks is probably my least favorite MP. The alt mode looks great, but part of me wonders what a 3P could have done with the bot mode. Preferably BadCube or FansToys.

Even having him out and messing with him for the pictures (first time I touched him since I bought him pretty much) and he's just so .. Lackluster. And those wobbly knees.. And head/neck assembly--Dear Darwin--they're so annoying.

Besides!! He needed an Autobot to beat up. I almost grabbed Bee, but felt bad lol.

 

I hate the gaps in his shoulders in alt mode. It spoils the illusion for me if I can see right into his body. He's basically a panelformer.

Also my Road Rage has a horribly floppy neck.

 

I would personally love to see them tackle tesla (tesblast?) next since I like the general aesthetics of that figure but the bughead always turned me off. It never looked like a bad figure and I'd love to have an MP perceptor, just tesla wasn't it for me.

 

So finally had a reply from Cloud 9 about the hand, just checking to make sure it was the clear one I needed. Very slow to respond but since I presume it's mainly a few people in a small office doing this, I don't really begrudge them for it. Plus it was my fault for breaking the hand.

 

Just noticed the bio from Quakeblast's box is lifted from the Wikipedia entry on Shockwave, it's taken from the opening paragraph of his Marvel Comics section, with some slight changes...





Moreover I checked the Wikipedia edit history, and the majority of the text that is used here was entered by one Chris McFreely when he rewrote that part of the article on November 27th 2007! I wonder if Chris knows he's a writer for Cloud 9?

I especially like the wiki entry part about him wanting to overthrow Megatron and he was very unlike his wimpy cartoon appearance (easily beatable heh).

I am so happy I am not getting the official version. In a few months it'll be on sale at HLJ for $20.00 cheaper also.

 

Thinking of picking him up over the official on and Quakewave. Where do I order him from? I don't seem to see him on the usual places I buy from.

Has anyone asked Cloud 9 if they would make a replacement arm panel that doesn't have a hole on the top of his left forearm? I'm hoping them or someone can make that happen.

 

The option would be nice. I like how you can put the hose in either way though since we have the choices to do it.

I think of it as just Shockwave's fancy tech. He can plug and unplug stuff when/where needed

I've bought several things from them, no problems.

 

My MP-29s (both of them) are sitting in my Pile of Loot at BBTS right now. Just sittin there, waitin for me to have em shipped, wonderin to themselves why I'm not claiming my pre-paid prize. But I leave them there, in darkened warehouse, because Quakeblast commands it.

Truth be told I think they're going unopened straight into deep storage, unless some stellar review convinces me otherwise. Unfortunately I can never bring myself to ebay my shit no matter how crappy it is.

 

man there is a lot of hate for MP29 in here lol. the official boys would have a heart attack.

I don't think it's really that bad...just prefer the other offerings. I always said TT would have to go leaps and bounds to knock off QW, and I didn't even know anything about QB until early this year. So both of those are kinda my definition of what MP shockwave should be, and I don't think TT outdid them in any fashion. If anything, there's steps backwards in terms of the electronics, battery size/compartment (AAA's? seriously??), light piped eye, STICKERS ON AN OFFICIAL FIGURE...think that last one burned me the most.

Still though. I like MP29's transform and how they worked that all inclusive design out. I just don't think the quality, gimmicks, color and design are up the the 3P offerings.

Plus he's damn expensive! US retailers are all around $160 for that dude. That's 2 Quakeblasts!! Was QB a steal or what!!

 

Best 3P deal ever. The paint alone is like heroine for my eyeballs.
