Even if BvS is a turd it will earn a lot of money.

Also, much was said about the Asian audience carrying recent TF movie, but Batman is also a big franchise in China.

I don't think Batman is consider big franchise in China, In 2012 TDKR made 52 millions there compared to Avengers's 86 millions.
Folks at Box Office Theory forums consider 65 millions openning predict for BvS in China is solid, but not great. That movie is doing all time number in US, UK and Latin America though

Zack Snyder is a far better visual director than Bay. His story telling abilities are good, but need improvement. A Zack Snyder Transformers movie would be pretty damn cool all things considered

    I'd rather stick with Bay.

    Entertainment is an important factor.

Snyder's not the best director, but hey, he has two decent Superman movies to his name. While Batman vs Superman has flaws, I found it much better than Man of Steel and far and beyond better than any Transformers sequels. It doesn't deserve nearly all the hate it's getting on RT. Not a masterpiece, but my god, 30%? Really? Really?

Pretty much. It's not like any of these two aims for a high art, nor I go to this kind of movie with an expectation of a deep artistic experience.

So let it be at least a brainless fun.

Rotten Tomatoes scores are an aggregate, not an evaluation. 30% means that 3 of 10 of the press reviews were positive. So if you liked the movie, it just means you fall in with that crowd, that's all. It's not an evaluation of he movie's contents.

So that's why, with the TF movies' abysmal RT scoring, they still make massive bank. From a critical point of view, they're pretty bad. But they're meant to be pure popcorn movies, and they generally succeed as such.

The studios would probably much prefer Bay as well. Dude knows how to handle a budget. Snyder lets his "creative vision" get out of control and makes massively bloated movies.

As for Snyder, dear god no. As stated, he's pretty much Michael Bay 2.0. But Bay has a sense of humour. His fault is that he lets his crazy stunt planning distract from the big picture. So while his films tend to be narrative messes, at least its in service to some pretty impressive practical effects work.

With Snyder, instead of stuntwork, he gets bogged down by sheer pretentiousness. It's all pretty pictures that he liked to pretend have deeper meaning, but he fails constantly to connect the dots and make a cohesive story.

I'll take Bay's stunt coordination over Snyder's "2 smrt 4 U" BS any day of the week.

I can't see that, not with the amount of money these movies cost. They need someone with blockbuster experience! We don't. But they do.

Yes, because a decent story has two rivaling Superheros come together because their Moms shared the same name.
The Transformers film's and BvS and MoS are both equally terrible and hideous. The latter was a disgrace to the character of Superman.
