Blimy, lots been going on whilst I've been out of it. Welcome back Vanessa.
Hopefully I can get a cheap shockwave, nemises springer, those are some nice looking seekers there, and deluxe groove? Yes please. Now to tease myself with kapows sale :D

The news of a Hasbro release for Groove is particularly welcome as it allows me to retrospectively turn on ‘smug mode’. After predicting similar on some thread or other I was told in a round-about-way not to be so stupid as such a toy would no longer be able to fit into Hasbro’s deluxe budget – all I can say is he who laughs last posts on the UK TF thread.

When it comes to Combiner Wars I’m the epitome of doing it wrong. As an owner of four apiece of the Aerialbots, Protectobots and Stunticons I can't form a single complete gestalt. So fingers crossed that Groove’s wave mates might allow me to fill in the blanks at a reasonable price.

Looking at the new images of Lazerwave next to Prime and he sure looks scrawny, he’ll look scrawny next to his G1 self as well. I suppose it fits the Holy Scale Chart and this is the character who cowered before Starscream and was trampled on by the Dinos in the cartoon, but that’s not really my Shockwave. Hoping when I get the toy in hand I’ll do a 180 but as of now I remain underwhelmed.

They look good, really hit a nostalgia spot. I'd like to see a Troy Tempest and Captain Scarlet in a similar vein. Now’s as good as any to crack out an old Thunderbirds joke.

:lol  that reminds me I still have the massive Thunderbird 2 from last year to dirty up.

Instead of painting that I've been painting this. I did take other photos but for whatever reason the focus was wrong, oh well.

I prefer me some Death Metal over Thrash, but nothing compares to Metallica for me. But still, Sodom>Exodus

    It is a bit strange

They are going for a take on toon accurate colour ok but the figure really does not have any embelishment whatsoever. The grey and purple plastic look like model kit plastic! Not even a transparent eye, it is bare bones.

It is not the photography, that is how it is,the finish won't be different in hand if that is what it is. I can't work out why they would do that. There isn't another MP like this... Trying to think, the seekers have decos... No idea.

The chest is not a colour behind the transparent, there is nothing to hold this deco(or non-deco) beyond it's light up gimmick which doesn't work in light. I think they are going have to release another if this the finished thing. Perhaps metalic finish.

That's the second Laserwave picture I've seen where the panels on the legs don't seem to fit together very well. Hopefully, it's just mistransformation.

The more I look at MP Shockwave the more I'm just not liking what I'm seeing.

The legs are the same on the official photography from the box so it's doubtful it's mistransformation.

The same lack of refinement is echoed with the backpack choice and the lower legs not sitting flush up against the gun body in alt mode resulting in the upper legs being slightly visible. The most satisfying part of the G1 toy's transformation is pushing up the lower legs to create that solid silhouette, disappointing it's not carried through to the MP.

Do I care enough to ask why? Or if that idiot is still "lol@Quakewave".....?

    Available for pre-order on Robotkingdom!

Still, do you think it's wise to wait for a local store to list him to save on shipping?

Tricky one, this - reflects what we were discussing yesterday about importing vs the waiting game. Still no guarantee if he'll even show up here at all. He might show up in the US but we've still not had wave 5 or 6 deluxes in the UK and who knows if they'll show up at all...not sure what wave he'd be packaged in as I'm assuming wave 6 is the last of CW at retail.

Possibly more weight to the theory that they will do another Transformers "MAY"hem promotion and like Brake-Neck & Quickslinger and he'll be available from Amazon and/or select online retailers only some time around May.

Got no real issues over how this looks aesthetically, it's just too small and looks cheap in the in hand pics.

Did any of you fine chaps get Quakeblast? And if so how did you find him? Just curious as MP Shockwave is due soon, and in recent evidence may be fantastic once in hand, but just curious in case.
