Well, except RID 2K1 Prime. He was like the one Optimus who cheated death...

I was at TFCon Chicago in 2014 and while it was undeniably a smaller dealer room in terms of floor space, there was a LOT of dealers and merch crammed in there, so much so that walking around was often difficult. The voice actors and other guests were easily accessible. Everyone seemed to have a good time. The show seems to be on the rise. The only thing it didn't have was Hasbro. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good Transformers convention experience.

I am so ridiculously into this. I had never even considered it and now I'm going to be totally gutted if it doesn't happen.

I was looking for a decent mold to make an pre-BW Inferno, the first thing brought to mind was Brawl with nosecone drill (homaging his drill mode from the Transmetal version), but the proportions didn't looked quite well... and later, I was thinking of some figure that could look great as Inferno, and I immediately I tought of the Thrilling 30 Whirl mold, the lankiness, the claws, and the chest (Kinda) Could work well as BW Inferno...

Edit: I need in my life a Soap Rubber Ducky!

Call me crazy, but now that we're bringing Thrilling 30 molds into it, Gen Blitzwing could work for Silverbolt...yes, I know he never had a Cybertronian body, but his beast mode was a combination of grounded and flying animals.

For the writer's sake, I hope I'm not putting more thought into it than him.

This is a huge opportunity for him. He should be cramming as much into those twenty pages as he can, and I'm confident he is. We should be expecting great things, not thinking this is just another BotCon Comic. The fact that this story is pre-BW is secondary to the fact that it's set right at the end of the Great War. What a period to be writing in!

I'm well-entrenched in the camp of those who believe the likes of Tigatron, Silverbolt, Quickstrike, Inferno etc all had pre-existing lives on Cybertron before the Beast Wars. However, their names were not Tigatron, Silverbolt or Inferno, and their personalities were perhaps slightly different (a lot different in Inferno's case). Who those characters were back on Cybertron is essentially lost due to the damage they received upon landing.

Airazor is perhaps the lone example of a stasis pod holding the spark of a Transformer that has never been 'born', thus we get Rhinox's musings on such things as he's working on her, to bring her into the world.

This is taking the show in isolation.

Not a bad Idea, But I hope that takara would give us a BW silverbolt using Grimwing mold (New tail, head and beast mode head, also, his butter knifes)

I think that the 3-pack and 2-pack should be combiner wars magnaboss, with the figures as:
    Onslaught into Ultra Mammoth
    Firefly into Silverbolt
    Offroad into Prowl
    Streetwise into Ironhide
    Hound into Grimlock

I'm tired of the CW Molds... I hope they release molds that they never used, like Generations Whirl, Windblade, or even the PRID Magnus Mold!

That TERRORSAUR looks good. I wonder if they're going to do WASPINATOR, SCORPONOK, MEGATRON and QUICKSTRIKE, and do a RAMPAGE combined mode. Hmmm...

I don't think there is a 3-pack and a 2-pack, anyway. From what we're being led to believe, there are only four souvenir figures and each one will be sold individually. Suggesting that they themselves don't form a cohesive set.

Not a bad idea, but Megatron is (Maybe) going to be an Ultra/Leader (RID Megatron retool) and I would be happy with non-combining characters... plus, You can only get Terrorjet with the Golden ticket or the Primus Package.

While Botcon comics tend to be a little subpar, the Animated one was absolutely awesome and was similarly set in a pre-existing continuity rather than one made for Botcon so I wouldn't write it off yet.

It's unfortunate that the only Beast Wars figures we have been really getting at TFCC/ Botcon exclusives...

Yeah; FunPub's been doing all the pre beast beast wars but Hasbro has done all new molds. I honestly still have no issue using the Cybertron mold 20th anniversary Primal as a Classics style Primal either.

Yes, technically, but this hasn't stopped FunPub from making toys and comics of them in the past, starting in 2006.

I love that Air Raid mold and it really looks awesome in red. I'd love to get this but being the Con freebie, I imagine aftermarket is going to be through the roof on it.

It's hard to find anymore Animal/Maximal names outside of Prowl, Ironhide, Silverbolt and Grimlock.

I'm mad that we'll never get the Uprising designs as real figures.

    Thanks FunPub. /sarcasm.

Inferno from Whirl is clever actually.

I'm surprised FP remembered Terrorsaur/is giving him his first new representation since BW ended.

    It should have.

In regards to the 2006 comic, a cursory glance at the source material (the TV show) would have shown the creators that some of their ideas (Airazor being Wing Saber, for example) cheapens the importance of the events in the actual show (in this instance, Airazor's birth).

Convention stories should compliment, not confuddle.
