That's an interesting take, because to me, the description sounds like anything EXCEPT beasts.

You weren't the only one. Then one of my friends pointed out that Hasbro said they would be continuing to do Combiner Wars-style combiners, and that's where it led us.

Though Powerlinx style using Combiner Wars ports would be pretty damn awesome, all things considered.

I hope this means we can get a Raiden out of this hopefully they can do changes where they don't follow scramble city style and just focus on it being a combiner.

Why not the center, voyager could be split into two figures

Is no one else excited for the bumblebee possibility from the art? Ive been DYING for a nice bumblebee as the classics one is outdated and the cybertron is too big. Then again, it could be that the art used is just based on the classics bee

I don't think that would work cuz if you make a voyager into 2 figures that's basically one of them giving up their alt mode for it. Raiden is 6 trains and if they don't follow those standards they could probly give us a real Liokaiser. They could also give us Road Caesar, Landcross, Dinoking, King Poseidon, and Monstructor without having to follow the 5 bot scramble city formations.

A quality Predaking and Abominus set is all I'd care about. Oh and Monstructor which Hasbro would likely borrow from the 2 sets anyway.

Yeah Hasbro really took a long time to realize just how much fans wanted actual old school combiners. The ammount of 3p Devastators and Predakings should have been a pretty good clue.

Well the Scramble City style has the advantage of inter compatability. So if a kid misses out on Brawl, they can still get a Dragstrip, and have a complete combiner that way. Hasbro doesn't like selling the box sets as much, so it's also more likely for some kid to not get everybody. And the mix and match aspect is always something that can appeal to those who actually play with the toys, rather than trying to get a display that's as accurate as possible to the original show.

I can't help but think this trademark is for a mobile app game. It most likely isnt going to be since (if my memory hasnt failed me yet) Hasbro did say Combiner Wars would bleed into Titan Returns.

Duocons. Combiner force heralds the return of the duocons.

I would love to get some duocons, even new ones. That concept hasn't been done in a LONG time.

New/updated Duocons would be awesome. I never knew the top/bottom halves were interchangeable on the originals but apparently they were (only had Battletrap myself). Even if "new" ones were just old parts repainted and swapped around, they could be fun (especially if they could be done at the deluxe pricepoint).

    That could make sense.

Only if Voyager Prowl is based on RID Season 2 Prowl's SUV design.

also I also want a Voyager Ironhide/Ratchet...hell I can live with them being headmasters....you could homage the classic headless toys with that.

They could still sell individually though it's not like how it was back then where the internet didn't really play a factor. Now internet selling is a huge part of it and it's easier to have stock online than keeping a store stocked

I figured it was just Hasbro's updating the Combiner Wars name since that event has already run its course in IDW and that the upcoming possible LioKaiser and Computron sets would be released under this banner. :)
