Since this is a TM for a toy line and since the Combiner Wars line is coming to an end then maybe this is a different type of combiner altogether. Perhaps it's...Power Core Combiners 2.0? 6-7 years later I'm sure they could greatly improve on what was an interesting line that did have some QC issues.

 

Also, all the folks thinking the trademark is for the cartoon, or videogame: the article states it is for toys, does it not? So surely it would have said "digital media" or somesuch in the trademark application?

 

Perhaps it's nothing more than the continuation of the combiner wars recolors just sticking it under a new title. there's still a few hey have yet to give us. so it would make sense.

 

Right off, it sounds like they are making a sort of Energon-esque combiner system, where you can mix and match robots from every size class. Deluxe gestalts from Scout-class, Voyager gestalts from Deluxe, etc.

 

Hmm...With so many fans here wishing for Beast-Combiners, why not start with the originals? Combiner Wars type Predacons, TerrorCons, Seacons, Monstructor, and possible a Dinobot/Grimstone would be awesome! Unfortunately, they'd most likely share molds and be simple re-tools of each other, but with enough new parts, it might just work.

Let's see...There could be four basic types: torso/leader(Voyager Class), 4-legged beast, 2-legged beast, & flyer (all Deluxes).

*Razorclaw, Hun-Gurr, & SnapTrap, could share a Voyager 4-legged mold.
*HeadStrong, Tantrum, Rampage, Sinnertwin, & Nautilator, could use a Deluxe 4-legged design.
*Blot, Rippersnapper, Tentakill, Overbite, & Skalor, could be 2-legged molds.
*DiveBomb, CutThroat, & SeaWing, would need a flyer-mold.

It would be ideal to get all new molds for each character, but that seems unlikely, so I wouldn't mind it done something like this, if nothing better could be improvised...

If so, bonus points if the vehicle modes have standalone modes too.

 

Well dedicated limbs for Galvatronus would be nice. I mean Brawl and Swindle will probably be going off once I get Onslaught and the other Combaticons.

And Jets go much better on Sky-Reign than cars.

Actually I think stores do kinda care. That's why every line ends up with a midline rebranding these days.

With the guys from the first wave of BW figures, they can use the mutant heads for inpiration for the combiner heads.

 

I think this is going to be a sub-line for Rescue Bots.

Combiners finally arrive at Griffin Rock!      

 

Combiner Force sounds like a weird way to lump together any leftover Combiners, Headmasters, Powermaster and similar gimmicks.

 

It could be a ending tital for future combiner box sets ex.

Wreckers / ruination combiner force
Predacons / predaking Combiner force
seacons / piranacon. Combiner force
Terrorcons / abominus combiner force
Train-bots / raiden combiner force
Breastforce / liokiaser combiner force
Technobots / Computron combiner forcec

 

If it shows up on the Computron and Liokaiser boxes, we'll know that's probably the idea.

And if they do future combiners as boxed sets, that might justify the costs for new beast molds and such.

I immediately thought: 'We are getting the Terrorcons!!!' But yeah. I think/hope this will be the new name for the Machinima series and it's accompanying toy line. Talking to hasbro reps they were pretty understanding of the fact that they were not done with combiners. I imagine new molds are pretty likely....as is Abominus, King Poseidon, Pirahnacon, Predaking, Baldigus/ RID Ruination, prolly reissues of all the prior guys and tons more.

I do think this is a new subline for combiners given the trademark is for toys and not TV/cartoon .

 

Combiner Force to me sounds like "Spark of Combination" and "Enigma of Combination"; plot devices selling a combination gimmick.

 

CW is not something you end in my opinion, I think they realize it has staying power.

 

I am 100% supportive of this.

 

It could be related to the series, but the trademark's description clearly specifies toys. I'm all for this too.

 

Hasbro knows it still has catching up to do to fill the combiner gaps in collections, since 3Ps have been at that for years.

An official new Piranacon would make me happy. As would other combiners.
