Hi guys, I've finally got my hands on this AMAZING kit; however, I have a question regarding the forearm filler.

In both the original pictures and in the instructions included, it is shown that the forearm filler can be stored in the back of diesel, but I can't seem to find the method to do so.

Can anyone show me how this can be done and also, can it still be stored in the back of menasor if I don't want to use it as a forearm filler? I understand that I can just put it back into the box if I don't need it, but it'd be nice to have a place to store the individual guns in the back!

    Thanks!!

First, thanks! We're so glad you enjoy the kit. :)

I'm not sure if you were referring to bot or alt mode storage. In either case, here's what it should look like. The design changed to a balljoint for the hand, but it still attaches the same. Near the balljoint end there are slots underneath it. They snap over a ridge on Diesels back.

Thank you so much for your reply! I've mess around with it a little bit more and I was able to attach it just fine. Hope to see more wonderful designs from you in the future!

Aye, I saw that site, but $150 is way too ridiculous a price.

I get requests on my Facebook page for this as well...perhaps there is still some demand? What I do is ping my contact from time to time, letting him know there is still some interest in hopes they might reissue. I also recommend to request the kit from your favourite retailer...

What are the chances of a custom version? I'd kill for another one or two of a kind like you did for my Boosticus set :D

I’d love if the car guns that were dropped from the project would be made as an add-on to this one.

Re-release the original set and do a small run of the car guns.

Probably not ever going to happen, but a guy can dream.

Unfortunately I only have a pre-production sample of the kit...unlike Boosticus, where I had a couple extras kicking around, I don't have any left of these. :(

Now this I can (somewhat) help with!

Eddie and I worked with my contact to re-negotiate this part of the contract, and at least get the car guns on Shapeways in case anyone wants a set. I worked hard on 'nesting' them to get the price as low as possible, but unfortunately 3D printing is still more costly than molded production:

How much are you selling yours for? I'd be interested in buying it depending on the price.

I finally found someone willing to sell this kit and it came in the mail today. I have one question though, can those 2 extra pieces for the foot ratchets be used the same way for the knees?

^^ I've never taken them apart to check, so I can say for sure they weren't designed for that purpose...but if by chance FP used the exact same part in both places, then yeah I guess it's plausible.

Sorry I'm not of more help on this...

The knee ratchets on mine are a floppy mess, the right knee being worse than the left. I tried clear coat nail polish in one and Future in the other and it really didn't help. I decided to open up the knees with the hopes I can use the extra ratchet tab pieces from the feet to fix this problem. Low and behold the knees use the same type of ratchet tabs as the feet, the only difference being is that the knee ratchets are twice as thin and the sides/bottom were a tad too thick and there are 2 on each side. The right knee on mine was actually missing one of those ratchet tabs which was why it was looser than the left. I added a tab to the right knee, replaced 1 of the 2 on the left knee, lightly sanding them until they fit flush. I put everything back together except for the pins on the knee. I only removed one from each knee and instead of inserting them back in I used a slightly wider screw which helped pull the gear piece closer to the new ratchet tabs which made the knees even sturdier/stiffer. With a little bit of work, yes, you can use the extra ratchet tabs from the 1/4 Mile kit on the knees. TOTALLY worth the effort too, only took me about 20 minutes.

No apologies necessary. I had the free time so I gave it a go. A HUGE THANK YOU to both of you for not just making this but also adding those extra pieces!
