Because then Hasbro's CEO would lose half of the two things he knows about Bumblebee; that he's incapable of regular speech and he turns into a Camaro.

I think the budget is around 100-150 million, CGI for vehicle complicated part is quite expensive, but I think is a good decision, at least won't have too much unknown robots.We can expected more screen time on the few specified characters.

 

Bumblebee's voice problem has even better plot armor than Bumblebee. Nothing in the Transformers universe is powerful enough to free us from the annoying way he communicates.

But look on the bright side part of being lower budget is they don't have to hire a voice actor  

 

Well compare robot screen time in Transformers to Age of Extinction. The first film had a budget of $150mil and the latter was between $290mil and $350mil.

 

Destroyed? I thought it was just prevented from being teleported. Anyway, "destroyed" is relative. It can always be restored, rebuilt, reformatted, or pulled out of a previous point in the timestream or something. These movies are science fiction, with very very very little emphasis placed on the 'science' part. The writers can do (and DO do) whatever they want at any given moment, with minimal concern as to anything that's happened before.

Check the news postings for the promotional bit spoken by the guy - should still be relatively recent in the TFW newsfeed.

But yeah, he literally just describes 'Bee as just being a mute Camaro, essentially.

Age of Extinction was also longer and had less actual transforming sequences (let alone legitimate Decepticons).

Sure, overall there may have been more robot screentime in AoE...but most of it was on Autobots. In the first film, each Decepticon gets their own feature scene (Blackout stomping all over SOCCENT, Frenzy on Air Force One, Barricade "in-terror-gation", Bonecrusher vs Prime, Brawl blowing up a whole city street, Starscream attacking...pretty much everything, and of course Megatron smashing his way out of Hoover Dam).

I really don't give a damn about Autobots, they're pointless without their archtypical counterpart Decepticons to fight and look awesome while doing it. And actually transform.

From the way I saw it, Cybertron essentially imploded on itself after the control pillar was destroyed, due to being trapped inside a space-time wormhole thing.

 

It seems kids like bumblebee,but most of us don't.
Unless they have a good story.

 

I think I remember readin they had to use the entire rendering farm for Transformers and they were stlil struggling to complete the movies.

 

hmm.. but Bay directing yet a 5th TF movie is proof Satan exists, and apparently one can't exist without the other... so I dont know what to think!  

 

I hope Transformers doesn't go the route that SW initially is going which is focusing on a reletively small part of their extensive timeline/history.

Much how like I'd love a SW movie that doesn't take place anywhere in-between PM and TFA (The Force Awakens not Transformers Animated   ) and/or have anything to do with a Skywalker and associates, I'd love a TF movie that took place on Cybertron and somewhere in their past. Just saying, TFs has such a vast amount of characters and concepts to work with that even after 4 movies, they're still really scratching the surface on material.

All that said, if they are hellbent on doing a BB movie, if it's along the lines of RiD I can go with that.

Speaking of, I hope for the next iteration of a TF cartoon series that they keep with the current animation style. I'm not talking about designs but the actual animation style. I prefer the current style over the CG rendered Prime.

 

Which is why I could only shake my head when I saw its a full feature film and not some direct-to-DVD release. Filling up the time allotted for a screen film about Bumblebee will be about as interesting as a full length feature film about Clarice Starling before she met Hannibal Lecter.
