The entire movieverse cast by default. Sorry, effective characterisation, good writing, and/or likeable personalities is not something the films really do. Same for almost everybody in the Energon cartoon.
Shockblast in Energon. Way to take a character known for being calm, collected, dangerously intelligent, and turn him into...a brash idiot who operates almost ENTIRELY on rage. His toy was still fun though. But the undisputed Kings for Life of Worst Transformers ever are Skids and Mudflap from Revenge of the Fallen. None shall EVER dethrone them. What ...were they thinking? Even if we ignore the whole racist thing, Skids and Mudflap are ANNOYING and they are UGLY, even by the movie's standards. Their bodies are fine but BOTH of their faces look like they were crushed by a trash compactor and hastily put back together. They make Jar Jar Binks seem like an awesome, well-developed character. What's worse, Skids even too the namesake of perhaps my favorite G1 Autobot (it was the first G1 toy I ever owned) and tarnished that name forever. That is why their sins will never be forgiven in my eye. What sins? The sins of merely existing
The problem with Skids and Mudflap was in execution of the concept - I am not excusing them in the least for existing in what I am about to say, just trying to pass on what my take on them was. Essentially, they're twins in the sense they are two Cybertronians spawned from one spark or something like that - if you compare their asymetrical robot modes, the left arm of one brother is smaller than the left arm of the other, and vice versa for the right. They're supposed to look somewhat mishapen in their heads by the nature of being two robots made out of a thing only supposed to create a single robot, indirectly implied by them being able to combine as an ice cream truck at the beginning of the film. Likewise, they're also young and are effectively morons who bicker more than follow orders. This is where everything fell down because their characterization...was based on the whole "gangsta" sub-culture that was so big at the time with rebelious youth. Which is why one of the defining flaws of their use in the film - when one of them pretty much says they can't read - is so problematic because they say it because by Transformers standards, they're essentially teenagers, but by human standards they're still millions of years old. They aren't Jar-Jar Binks level bad, though. At least they were somewhat useful against Devestator. Binks did literally jack shit for the entire film.
Can I just say Brian Michael Bendis then? Even though he doesn't do Transformers? XD All kidding aside. If I'm looking at a character based on a single form, meaning single or group of writers, then I'd have to say RiD Strongarm. I f*cking loathe her! They try to make her the "boy scout" character and fail miserably. She just comes across as that classmate I hate that always recites rules and shiz. Or maybe it's just the voice delivery. IDK, something about her character and how she is portrayed bugs me. She's written as stiff as a board and portrayed as boring as a brick. That's just my opinion though.
I hate Rattrap's robot mode with those silly teeth. Plus his voice is grating and he's a jerk. Dinobot's voice just seems silly, corny and overly strained. Plus if I hear one more person say how sad his death was.. Pipes had a far more moving death scene in MTMTE Anyway I appreciate your response to my post. I know I was probably stepping on a lot of toes. Not deliberately. Just being honest. Still I'm glad to see your civilised response not the fan boy attack others may have gone with.
I don't like G1 Slingshot, he came off as a huge dick. Characters like Blurr & Wheelie I don't hate, I just am annoyed with their voices. I say I hate Bumblebee but I can stand G1 & IDW Bee and I like RiD15 Bee.
Well, if we're saying "every character from ___"... I may have to say Go! There is NO character in any of the Autobots. Absolutely NOTHING. The KIDS are more interesting. However, if I went with characters I just don't like, then it'd be 95% MTME characters.
The voices don't bother me that much (I'm more impressed that they're done by the same guy), but I can understand your argument, even if I don't agree with it. So I shouldn't say that I found it to be one of the most tragic moments in Transformers fiction? Teasing aside, I appreciate that you, too, didn't unleash a storm of rage upon me, and that you acknowledge that I mean no malice. I try to avoid blatant attacking other people's opinions, and I appreciate you share that philosophy.

If there are characters I dislike it's In my opinion movie optimus was just brutal..I don't really like how optimus is perceived in the films...no offense..don't rage attack me e-e out of most characters I also disliked skid-z since he was competitive..despite little personality...skids and mudflap are both RACIST...besides that to me movie megatron seemed less like an overall threat...what's sad is HE IS the leader of the decepticons yet mostly is only secondary I'm hearing more about cohrada and he's starting to seem like a jerk..anybody ELSE feel the same way? Also reflector and dirge..I hate reflector mostly cause his mode is basically..well sort of useless...dirge mostly because of what happens to him in comics
Megatron is greatly exaggerated. I wouldn't say he's a "worse" character than others, but he's greatly over exaggerated in his credibility. Galvatron is the real deal. TFP Bulkhead and Arcee are top contenders for the spot of "worst" character, however. I don't think I've ever wanted two characters to die like I have wanted for Bulkhead and Arcee.
RID Grimlock? The biggest waste of a dinobot in tf franchise history as well as looking like a T. rex who ate too much meat for 20 years. Skids, mudflap, those are self explanatory. Definitely Windblade, and maybe IDW tailgate.
Because she's a self-righteous quasi Sue. I think it is more Scott's fault than the character itself.
Shattered Glass anyone. IDW anyone. TFA's Headmaster. Unless OP is looking just for Transformers and not 'TF characters' as in characters in Transformers material. Quintessons. Bumblebee, nowadays, pretty much all of them. I dislike G1 one nowadays too, not like I ever really liked him much anyway. Comic Grimlock.
There are so many bots that i luv... but there are an equal amount that i hate. I hate: 1. (TFA/TFP) Bulkhead - Just lame! He looks like a goofy clone of Guttsman from the Megaman game. 2. (G1) Cosmos - When you have other bots like Omega Supreme, Jefire aka Skyfire & Autobot Shuttles that can transport heavy cargo & many of the larger Autobots into space and back... what's the point in having little slow ass Cosmos in space who can barely transport Bumblebee & Spike? Useless!!! 3. (G1) Lazerbeak - Sooooooooooo overpowered! 4. (Bayformers) Starscream - Ugh! Design, Voice, Personality... i hate it all. 5. (Beast Machines) Nightscream - Cool name... not much else. 6. (G1) Grapple & Hoist - Annoying as hell! Fake ass versions of Inferno & Trailbreaker (who are much cooler bots imho). It also felt as if these two were taking Wheeljack & Ratchet's thunder. 7. (G1) Skylinx - THE GOBOTS! THE GOBOTS!!! 8. (TFP) Knockout - Overrated! And he reminds me of (G1) Tracks, who i've never really cared for. 9. (G1) Sixshot - They completely went overboard with this guy... 10. (Bayformers) Mudflap & Skids - Too damn goofy! 11. (Bayformers) Shockwave - He didn't tranform wtf! Riding on a metal slug ugh! 12. (G1) Beachcomber - Boring! Such a boring character. 13. (Bayformers) ROTF Devastator - Really, Really, Really ugly design. Really! 14. (Bayformers) Frenzy, Hound, The Dinobots, Jetfire, Lazerbeak, Stinger, The Fallen - Just no! 15. (TFA/Bayformers) Lockdown - I hate this character more than any other one. Period!
TFA Sentinel is one of the worst characters in the franchise. He's stubborn, has an ego bigger than his chin, and is an all around asshole. Bayformers Skids and Mudflap I'm kinda neutral on, they are pretty funny, but unecessary. Same with Wheelie. Miko is also a pretty bad character, she's just... overall obnoxious, really. TFA Bumblebee could've been better. I get that he's young in that series, but he could've been a little bit nicer. Don't even get me started on Bayformers Megatronus/Fallen. There's probably more that I can't remember off the top of my head.
How does that make him a bad character? Just being an asshole just means you don't like him, not that he's a poorly written character. Especially since it just makes his comeuppance every so often all that much better.
