No Sky Lynx at the Eagan Target again yesterday. They were also down to just two Sky Reign limbs -- Hound and one other I can't remember.

The giant box of the last of my collection shipped out yesterday. It's all gone for good. Feels weird but it's nice to have claimed that bit of floor space in my comic den back.

Nabbed a Skylynx at St Louis Park Target.
They also had a new wave of the legends...Pipes, Shockwave, Chopshop, and Buzzsaw.

Congratulations, I think that's the first US retail sighting of the Legends wave.

EDIT: Nevermind. The first confirmed was about a week or two ago.

Dang, had time after work and hit the White Bear Ave and IGH Targets instead. Should have gone to Woodbury.

WB had an Onslaught and 3/4 of the deluxes. IGH had all the deluxes.

A little off topic, but the Combiner Wars really sparked me getting into Power Ranger Zords. I just received the Legacy Thunderzord. Holy shit is this guy amazing! I've never seen a figure with this enormous amount of painted detail and of such quality! Just wow!

When did TF Source move to Henderson NV? Ordered the 4 Guardia limbs expecting the usual next day delivery and was caught off guard by the arrival date being Saturday.

I've read on a few different threads now about that. So did you get charged tax? With out tax, TFS may be an option for some of their other toy stuff for me.

Paid via Paypal and didn't get taxed. My last order back in June shipped from Forest Lake and was taxless as well.

Ok so this is a mini rant...........The Mrs picked up the other available Sky Lynx from Valley Creek Target today (she's awesome) anyways, this figure......is not. These days, I rarely follow the official stuff, besides MPs, so I wasn't 100% up on Sky Lynx, besides what he looked like. I assumed that he was a leader class figure, maybe I saw he was a Voyager and forgot, idk, either way this thing is tiny. I'd like to see a comparison of the Alt mode and Classics Astrotrain, cuz it seems small, even for a Voyager.

Then to my dismay, there is no actual Lynx like the original that can be separated, WTF? I know the original Lynx was kinda dumb (just for the fact it looked nothing like a Lynx) but they coulda updated the bottom half to actually look like a cat while still resembling the original couldn't they? The space shuttle looks dumb with the tail fins pointing the wrong way, which is easily removed for a more g1 look or can be switched around which also looks better. Then on top of it, this thing is a Combiner, why? How bout just make him a "sudo" Combiner by having him split like good ol g1 Sky Lynx? I mean, I guess it's cool that after this long we got a Sky Lynx at all that resembles the g1 version but overall, I wasn't too happy. This is the kinda thing that pushed me to 3rd party to start with. I'd honestly rather pay $200 bucks and feel like I got something half way decent then this crap we got.

I know 3rd party aint perfect either but generally, i haven't felt completely robbed like i have with Leader Jetfire (a decent figure just not at the leader price point) CW Sky Lynx and all of the UWs Takara sets. Needless to say, I want MMC or somebody to do a "proper" Sky Lynx. Honestly, this would be an awesome candidate for a upsized KO. Not sure if the KO guys do anything besides taking mediocre movie molds and making them 100x better (ie: KO Evasion mode Prime, KO AOE Hound, etc.....) Maybe I'm just expecting too much of Hasbro? End of rant.

I think the trick with Sky Lynx is to temper your expectations. If you thought he was gonna be a leader class I can see why you would be very disappointed. I'm on the hunt for one in the SW metro myself, but have perused many images and reviews. I feel like I know what I'm getting into.

Now, "proper" 3rd Party Sky Lynx with two halves, some heft, etc - sign me up! I could see dropping $200ish on that if it's done faithfully.

I'm expecting Sky Lynx to be super mediocre, but that kinda goes with 95% of Hasbro releases these days. I wish Combiner Wars woulda happened early in the Generations line. Those probably woulda been some great figures! About the only thing left I'm hoping for out of the Generations line going forward are the other 4 Dinobots, which will probably suck, but that's about the only place I feel that part of my collection is still missing...and I don't want to pay 500+ to correct it going 3rd Party as I'm largely over that line.
