The actual BW cartoon did this.
Most of us found it too weird looking at first, but it was not disturbing.
Either way, the show pulled it off.

1st time "Transformers" viewers even came to consider this the norm of the general Transformers look! :)

What he's saying (and I agree) is that there is a huge difference between looking odd in animation and looking grotesque in live-action.

In any case, of course I would watch a Beast Wars movie. I don't know that I'd especially want one, or that I could imagine any way it could improve on (or even live up to) the series, which I think still holds up very well. But I'd watch it.

But I'm sure that if they ever did one, they'd find a way to quickly transport the characters to the present day, so they could include modern human characters for the audience to care about. Anyone thinking Paramount would ever make a big budget "live action" movie set entirely in the past and starring 5 animated robot animals fighting 5 other animated robot animals is living in the deepest delusion imaginable.

Can't argue with that, but a person can dream.

For those saying 'Live Action' requires humans, make it an Animorphs movie! Where the teens become the BW animals!

    This way, Everybody wins! :)

Yes, that's exactly what I meant. It looks fine in BW BECAUSE it was (non-realistic) CGI. Realism would make it look like a trophy hunter's wall.

I am also completely against human characters being involved in anything related to Beast Wars.

Maybe the idea should be to do different.

Don't have prehistoric Earth or Earth at all. Having the setting be another planet with actors portraying humanoid aliens. Have the Cybertronians scan alien beast modes. This could make it easier to bring in new characters that weren't on the show with names strongly hinting the alt mode.

    Maximals:
    Optimus Primal (Axalon commander)
    Longrack (Second in command, engineer)
Prowl (Great War veteran, security officer)
    Snarl (Recon specialist)
    Airazor (Young cadet)

    Predacons:
Magmatron (Renamed Megatron, rogue Predacon commander)
    Inferno (Sub Commander)
    Spittor (Chemical Warfare expert)
    Razorclaw (Misfit of the team)
    Jetstorm (Air Commander)
Skyshadow (Agent of the Tripredicus Council)
Silverbolt (Noble Predacon that ultimately sees the evil, becomes Maximal)

I would like to see one.

Only reason why I wouldn't is probably because of Tarantulas' spider mode being too realistic.

Why would a live action movie need humans in it?

Every time I see that large battle at the end of the first Narnia film I think of Beast Wars.

Probably because of the cheetahs, tigers and rhino.

Love the Griffins too. Shows we get a well done Silverbolt

Did the Narnia movie have humans in it? Do ALL the Narnia stories have humans in them? Yes. Of course they do. Do you think they are going to make a movie that is just a 20 minute battle with no story and no context? :rolleyes2

Yah, let's go with a completely different evolved human race altogether.

How the fuck do you make a live action Beast Wars Movie (Would be trilogy most likely)? I guess you film scenes from our actual surroundings, and then add CGI models?
And enough with the demands for a new Beast Wars series. All the fans of the original Beast Wars cartoon would declare the adaptation to be blasphemous and sacrilegious for one reason or another.

Isn't that what the G1 fans did with Beast Wars?

Isn't it funny how the most popular cartoon series of this franchise are both the ones that deviate the most from the usual franchise formula and don't have Optimus Prime as the supreme leader?

Because Beast Wars completely going against everything in G1 helped set the foundation for why it was so good - it wasn't trying to be the same as what came before it. If a new BW series was to be declared "sacrilegious," it would be for not being a good series, not because it wasn't slavishly trying to make lighting strike twice.

good thing that predacon and maximal are about human size.. so suit actor with CGI enhancement would shine... as long as bay's team isnt doing it.. give it to the real practical effect team, like the team that handle aliens and the thing, people who know what they are doing with suit acting.

I'd only watch a Beast Wars live action movie if it took place in the 'future' time period of Beast Wars tech, and not in prehistoric Earth..

And on Cybertron...having almost everything on earth gets a little boring..
