The gear doesn't come in contact with the tooth so there is no ratchet function. So once the weight of the limbs are on him he flops and dives.

...That's a BIG problem. Is that a wide issue or isolated one?

the wheeljack mold already accomplishes this with no changes. the indents are not as prominent, but they are still clearly there, the doors ARE inset slightly. just another reason the wheeljack tooling is the obvious choice.

Eh, not really. Two completely different looks. I get what youre saying, but Lightspeed is supposed to be a "futuristic car". The Wheeljack mold (which I said previously was the mold I expected them to use) just doesnt give off that feeling.

And so now here I sit, curious to see what Takara gives us instead

I REALLY hope the Wheeljack/Breakdown mold is chosen to be Lightspeed. We've had the Deadend mold done way too many time.

We've resigned ourselves to the idea that it's not going to look futuristic ages ago. We're going on what produces an accurate result to the original design, and Wheeljack gives us that result in all manner of ways.

Same here, but the mockup showed a Dead End mold. See SgtLemon's post above. I'm not optimistic...

The concept art didn't make it obvious since they pretty much both look like a car made into a leg when they are a leg :p

The hood of the car was a dead giveaway (rounded vs sharp/flat). Also had the same underflap to hide the head

Me neither. That just looks like Superion with some Stunticon/Combaticon parts. Not very much of a likeness to Computron from what I'm seeing IMHO.

I plan to use the PE parts to make him look Computrony.

Interesting. I haven't come across this issue as of yet, but then again my Sky Reign and limbs have only been transformed once, so maybe I'll encounter it once the joints have been worked a bit more. Sigh.

I'm holding out hope that the the Dead End was used as a place holder. Maybe Wheeljack wasn't out at the time that it was made? The picture also shows Groove, but it shouldn't be just a repaint.

Honestly, I hate the Breakdown mold, so I'd rather have another Dead End (I only own DE and Streetwise) than another crappy mold with terrible articulation and proportions, even if one is less futuristic.
