Could that Bumblebee in the news post be our first glimpse at Hasbro's MP Bee? I don't own MP Bumble, so I'm not sure if it's different.

They didn't say he's going to be the only Autobot in the spin off though.

Well, the only problem I can see is that they have YET to tell a great story, or even a mediocre one. And they definitely haven't told any TF stories.

Just because you hype it up, doesn't mean these next three movies aren't going to suck. The movie continuity is already a joke of a wasteland, and there is no saving it, even if they brought on good people, which really they didn't.

Good luck with that Bumblebee movie nobody will want to see, though. Hilarious.

I get why they've picked Bumblebee as the first one to get a spin off, but surely it would make more sense to do one with Drift and Hound, they at least have recognizable names voicing them, maybe not big names, but still.

Well that wouldn't take much since all we've gotten is basically same film four times in a row. If they don't have a McGuffin that would be something different. If there was a human that couldn't be discribed as the screaming idiot that would be something different. I would say if they didn't kill off some Decepticons that would be different but then Hasbro/Paramount doesn't give a Rattrap's ass about the Decepticons.

You know, other than the hordes of Bumblebee merchandize Hasbro makes, I've never seen Bumblebee do anything that's actually worth bitching about.
This is why I stopped visiting this site (and why I may regret posting this).
You people are bitchier than Sam and Ja Jar Bink's lovechild, I swear.

My bet is tf5 is gonna focus on Optimus off in space fighting the creators. Tf6 the "bumblebee movie" will actually be about bee leading the autobots against the plots of Galvatron. And then we will have the animated prequel in between 2017's climax with tf7. Optimus will reunite with the "dirty foursome" with some extra help to fight the forces of evil one last time before the current cast gets killed for a season 3 generation one style reboot.

I wasn't expecting a positive response toward a Bumblebee movie, or more Michael Bay Transformers movies in general, but consider this: the Transformers movies might not make the money they used to, but they still make big money, and as long as they put a large enough sum in people's pockets, they'll keep making them. I'd like to see a reboot somewhere down the line done in the style of the Marvel movies that captures the spirit of the original cartoons and comics as much as the next fan, and trust me, Age of Extinction disappointed me, too, but as long as they keep making money, people will keep seeing them.

And as for all those people asking, "Why Bumblebee???", well, who else are they going to make a movie about? What other existing character in the movie franchise other than Optimus is popular enough and established enough to bring in the casual viewer? Besides, who's to say Hound or Crosshairs, or new characters to the films like Prowl or Tailgate won't show up in the Bumblebee movie?

This thread does well in showing off the maturity of a lot of people. People referring to something Bumblebee did in the first movie which was NINE years ago as a basis as to why the film will be are only making themselves look immature. Let it go.

" Brian Goldner stated that the Spin-Off movie will be unlike anything we’ve seen before."

    hmm, I'm suspicious!

I can deal with them making these horrible movies ever couple of years because for some reason they continue to make money and in turn hasbro can use the money to make figures that I do want but if they are going to be making a movie ever year for the foreseeable future then wont most of their buget be going to merchandise for the movies. While I know we were promised a third series in this prime wars thing but when are they even going to have the time and budget to do it?

"The Bumble NO FUCK YOU HASBRO I REFUSE TO FINISH THAT STUPID ASS TITLE WHAT THE FUCK NO I'M SICK OF THAT ANNOYING LITTLE BITCH BOY BUMBLEBEE I'M LIKE MAD RIGHT NOW FUCK YOU HASBRO

I love Transformers, but dear God I hope this "Transformers Cinematic Universe" implodes so Hasbro can focus on other media for TF. I feel like the moviegoing public is already sick of the TF movies - hell, not a day goes by in my two film classes that we don't rip on 'em (myself included).

But I think we could have said who the heck are the Guardians of the Galaxy, even Marvel doesn't seem to know since they varied so much across the comic books. Ant Man wasn't exactly a household name, even among the comic book geeks there were worries that Ant Man couldn't hold down a solo movie. Chances were taken and instead of feeling a bit stale with the big names these less known members of the Marvel Universe managed to freshen things up.

Spin offs seemed like the chance to expand out the cinematic universe with something like a Last Stand of the Wreckers sort of film where it's not clear the good guys will win. Instead having super ninja commando Bumblebee means more of the same and his ultra plot armor means the bad guys have already lost before they even start filming the movie.

It's funny how all the people bitching are supposedly human beings with a high body content of water but yet are so salty!

Love this news! Bring on the movies!
