Everything except Chromedome from Dead End seems plausible (even likely) and were probably true when they were found out by M_h. That's not to say Hasbro won't change their mind. We know they plan for more figures than they actually produce, so if Hasbro never releases a deluxe Squeezeplay, that won't necessarily mean he (or his source) was lying/wrong/confused.

Dead End from Chromedome seems unlikely for a couple reasons (he appears to be a bit shorter than other TR deluxes and the head would look goofy as fuck as a starter), but it's not impossible. Would that be the weirdest remold in recent memory? I think it's more likely they have a similar transformation but vary in size by a bit.

If it's not the same mold, it will be used as an example when some posters will still be yelling at each other over what a retool/remold is. (If it's not a remold/retool, it's going to be like Smokejumper & Energon Starscream.)

Pics should be made available soon at which point a lot of people will owe him an apology.

I personally like Rodimus as a figure to transform back and forth, but his glaring flaw is that his upper torso sits far too far forward from his lower body. His head, shoulders, and arms are entirely in front of his legs, unless you pose them otherwise. Also, he only has forearm swivels, no bicep swivels, and no thigh swivels. Shoulder and hip articulation is fine, though! Transformation is simple, elegant and fun, which I think was the highlight of the Titanium 6" line (with some exceptions). Rodimus's bot mode suffers from a similar problem as Ultra Magnus does - misaligned upper body.

*I* think the Titanium 6" figures are fun, but they are absolutely NOT for everyone. They're all flawed, many more than others, so if you're on the fence, check out some videos first.

To be fair, it's actually interesting to some people how the engineering works in designing the figures. Retool is a specific term of art and has a functional definition that is definitely being . . . stretched a bit in the discussion here.

I find the Chromedome from Dead End rumor unlikely for size reasons - the TR figures have been uniformly described as larger than CW figures by those that see them at shows, which is subjective but worth considering. The FansProject Function X headmaster line have the smallest heads of any official or 3rd party HM I'm aware of so far, and holding one of those up to replace Dead End's head looks awkward. So one of three things will be true: (1) Chromedome has a rather large looking head for his body; (2) Chromedome isn't a Dead End retool; or (3) the TR heads are hell-a small. Of those three, (2) seems likeliest to me, but any are possible.

As to the apologies, whether or not they will be deserved, I sure wouldn't expect them.

I thought he was full of it too, but I made my apology already! (I wasn't mocking discussion of remold and retool, I just wanted to poke a little fun at my fellow posters!)

Whatever Chromedome is, it's going to be interesting to debate. It looks like it has a heavy retool or is at least using similar parts. It still has the front chest piece, but it actually has feet. There's enough there that it's definitely debatable.

No, but some people have seen images of it that aren't yet public.

I could see them using he transformation scheme at least. Dead end certainly had an interesting one in how the legs opened and closed. It avoided leaving big gaps in the back or sides which is often the case with figures that have their legs swing off of their thighs. CW did some funky things with legs that I won't be as surprised to see on newer figures.

Not really. He's about an inch to an inch and a half taller, but his arms are shorter and so are wildly out of proportion to the rest of his body. His vehicle mode is smaller than Classics Rodimus. The face sculpt is also a bit goofy looking.

As a huge Rodimus fan, I'd rate it about as bad as Powerlinx Hot Shot. Sure, I own both, but they stay in vehicle mode to keep them from embarrassing themselves.

Here is a pic I just took of fansproject code head on combiner wars prowls body which is a retool of the dead end mold. The head doesn't look too big on the body and the Hasbro heads may be smaller than the fansproject ones. It's not flat down because there is not port for the headmasters head.

I could be mistaken, but weren't the Titan Master heads rumored to be compatible with Generations Brainstorm? If that's the case then it still seems unlikely they'd use the Dead End mold. I do feel this is a case of similar appearance and engineering.

That was said initially but a while later they were said to be incompatible. I'm expecting the Titan Masters/Headmasters to be a tad smaller than Arcana.

Right after NYCC I was able to go through showroom photos and get enough frame of reference to work out that the Titan Masters should be virtually identical in size to Arcana. I think any lost compatibility is going to be as a result of having a different connection method than the initially minorly problematic method Brainstorm had going on.

Does anyone have a comparison between the heads? I'd grab Smart Robin and check, but, y'know, Brainstorm sort of wasn't actually released in Australia. (Also Code and Smart Robin have somehow been sucked into the very back of my display)

Either way its more damning than anything else because yeah, great he fits in robot mode, but uh, not a lot of space for alt-mode there without, well, gutting the entire back of the robot (Especially given rumours indicate that the Headmasters do go into cockpits and the like). Which one again begs the question of why remold, considering how much needs to be done?

    I remain saying similar mold.

Titan Master heads are a bit smaller than Gen Brainstorm's Headmaster.

Glad to hear it, it'll stop the Deluxe size figures looking like that have huge noggins.

I like Rodimus. He stands on my display as CHUG Rodimus Prime since Hasbro refuses to give us a proper one. His dimensions are a little wonky due to the fact that the trailer ends up as the legs. But the chest piece isn't as bad as everyone tries to make it out to be...at least not on mine. Just keep a thumb on it while you're posing his arms and he's good to go. And the head sculpt is light years ahead of Classic Rodimus/Hot Rod...probably the best head sculpt this side of a Masterpiece figure.

What I want to know about Chromedome is–seeing as it sounds like he is just a boring brown car–does he have wheels on his shoulders? I want him to look at least a little MTMTE-ish.
