I hadn't heard that the Titan Master packs would be replacements too. That's a cool thing. Certainly skirts the issue of possibly losing a head. You just go buy another one for a few bucks. I am excited about that.

Thanks and appreciations to Marvelous for once again giving us the info straight from the ground floor. Excited about Fort Max the most but the Apeface news is very welcome! The Sweep with the Botcon Devcon head is intriguing...

I think you read that wrong. I believe what it actually means it that there is a set of:
2x Sweeps utilizing the Generations Scourge mold (One with the Devcon head)
    And a Universe Cyclonus mold.

DAMN. Apeface is my favorite Decepticon Headmaster, this totally blows! AND we could totally pass on a new Astrotrain/orange-non-G1-new-canon guy for a tradeoff of a new Apeface Voyager, IMO.

Hell, given how well the Ultra Magnus/Power Master Prime worked out, I bet with a bit of tweaking and an legs-to-arms reversal trick, they could probably pull both Apeface AND Snapdragon from the same mold!

Use your brains, Hasbro! It's not hard, just read here first, figure out what the fans want, and then make it! *SIGH* SMH...

My question is why bother reusing that mold now with a new Voyager coming only a few weeks/months later... I guess they're trying to milk it a little and cater to "casual" fans before a newer/better version comes out... #business #profitmargins

With a name like ApeFACE, of course he'll be just the head. Now my hopes for the little known Decepticon ApeBODY will be released. :)

They could have used the Energon molds for Rodimus Prime vs. Galvatron.

That would be interesting, especially if they went for the smaller Galvatron mold.

YOU! It's you! You're the reason why they keep releasing these terrible sets!

Bummer about Apeface, he was one of my top 'hope to see's. And bummer about the rodimus in the two pack being the titanium mold too - I was hoping it implied a new voyager rodimus prime was coming in TR. Looking forward to seeing wheelie though, even more so for having interactivity with titan masters.

I am looking forward to this line so much. The interactivity sounds great.

Speaking of Wheelie: I'm surprised CW Rodimus wasn't Wheelie instead. Would have been better for that size class.

I've been trying to think of what the third chapter could be, and Beast Wars makes sense. We know they aren't afraid to re-use a series name like that now. Would that make third chapters being about beast modes a trend in Transformers?

Trypticon is already set to be the next titan size after Fort Max, and that's the best way for him to be related to the rest of the line. I would definitely want Predaking and Pirahnaking for combiners and maybe HasTak would do some long awaited Dinobots as part of it.

What does XFL: 2/19/2016 mean in this picture? That's a few days after NYTF.

Wouldn't it be awful if it ended with Micro Wars like G1 did?

I reckon it could conclude with Cybertron Wars - allowing for a multiverse of characters meaning existing molds could be used over and over!

Wheelie having a cockpit, in a legends size figure sounds ambitious. I already have the legends figure from a few years back so I hope this one looks really good because I like the idea.

Apeface is a mixed blessing, until there's any actual proof of these claims that every TM solo figure well be released again with an actual body I won't be getting excited.
I haven't decided if I'll be buying the headpacks yet.

Platinum set, already have both those moulds and little desire to own duplicates.

    Roll on next week!

After dreaming up this highly optimistic and speculative list I took a look at my G1 shelves and had a think about who was missing that could be the theme for this third chapter. The ones that really stood out were the predacons, dinobots, seacons, and pretenders, which would lend itself to a beast chapter.

Of course if we're not getting any powermasters, targetmasters that didn't appear in the '86 movie or voyager horrorcons -unless the rumours about the titanmasters being alterative heads is true- then this whole list is pure crap!

I don't get how or why they're using the Devcon head. It's kind of wierd for a FunPub head to appear outside of FunPub usage (and the alt head for the Scourge mold was already used for Senator Ratbat). Anyway all these Platinum sets are things I look forward to getting on clearance. I'd love a set of Sweeps and I love the Cyclonus mold that I'd get it again and again, but even a nice set like that will have some stupid price tag on it.
I've always wanted a Hasbro release of the smaller Energon Galvatron in proper purple. Missed opportunity. I suppose they did go for the two molds that scale best together though.

It's obviously because they don't want to sell a set with two identical figures in it.

Victorion chopper sisters say hi ;)

Anyway, real bummer about Apeface being head-only. I hope Hasbro can sniff the webwide disappointment.

They actually have different heads, so its the same deal as the box set with Scourge and the Sweep.

Wonder if Rodimus will have die-cast or will be pure plastic. I like the mold, pretty clever transformation, but don't need to own it again.

Sweeps are an odd choice -when we know a TR Scourge is coming soon. With that, Generations Scourge and Titanium Scourge, I already have my armada of Sweeps.
