i have to say that looking at this again i like the aesthetic and i see a waist swivel. its really too bad he is too big. going by the scale chart hs is still too big unless you interpret things...differently. if they elect to downsize it before release to a normal seeker size i might get this because to be honest...while less accurate...it looks better than the takara one. igear's undersized conehead head looks ever worse now. i still love the alt mode though!

Just from an atheistic point of view, TT should have painted the side portions of the lower legs in black, so the illusion would make his legs look correct and symmetrical, coz they just look too chubby being all white.

Really like that TW design, can't wait to see the jet mode

Personally, I kind of hope they decide to put out every known and possible Seeker using this basic mould/size...

Thanks for the comparison line up. While I certainly liked the Takara reveal, it falls flat when put side by side with this one.
Sorry Takara, you tried, but I just ain't feeling it anymore. The face sculpt is solid on TT- but the overall design looks clunky when compared to the sleek seeker sexiness of the TW's leg panels.

Some here would probably consider me a Geewunner- and while G1 is probably the only TF media I consumed and still enjoy as much as I did- it doesn't define my tastes. I love the subtle elements of toy design that alter the characters to give them the kind of impact a 2D line art simply cannot do. This version of Ramjet is a perfect example- it is clearly recognizable as Ramjet- but brings some great elements that set them apart from G1 art and the other seekers. Simple G1 line art should never be a shackle to limit creativity.

I remember my time on He-Man.org- finding myself exhausted with the types there screaming for cartoon accurate toys from MOTUC- when MOTUC itself pulled from many of the different elements of MOTU. While I've seen similar personalities here- over at He-Man.org you'd have endless threads of people demanding (by name) that people at Mattel be held accountable for every aspect of their toys- if Princess Flower Dolly didn't look exactly how someone wanted- they demanded that this mortal sin be rectified and that someone be publically shamed and fired. He-Man himself would knock-out punch most He-Man fans.

If the price is right I'm sold!

Im the opposite. I was for anything but takara for Ramjet but the wings alone make me not even want to look at the other offerings. They gotta go up his sides. Period.

It looks like TW is able to pull off the curved look on the intake ramp on their seekers. This more closely resembles the what is soon on the seekers in the cartoon. Plus the fully articulated hands don't have that "mitten" look to them that the TT seekers have.

This. So very much this. Ramjets wings are what defines his character model and distinguishes him from the other two.

I do like TWs feet though...

    Its not Classics enough

(Ironically Toyworld are probably the safest of the companies at the moment given the other MP Ramjets out there at the moment are knockoffs of the Seeker mold. Still doesn't mean I'm buying it, because it is useless to me at its current size)

This thing just needs to be a Voyagerish sized Classterpiece. Its beautiful, but wasted on some MP folks cause its not 100% whatever here and there. I think Classics collectors will by it at a smaller size, and buy it several times over as a core for the other Coneheads and Seekers. TW, do you like multiple, easy sales?.....

Looking at all these pictures, and a bunch of pictures of G1 Ramjet (mostly animation), I have come to the conclusion that...

No one has done him right, yet. 3/4 offerings are/were just relatively minor retools of the still-flawed-but-more-or-less-accepted MP-03/11 mold. None of them manage to get the legs or wings right in bot mode. Mind you that's two of the three major distinctive features of the Coneheads. Toyworld's here is at least mostly ahead of the pack, do to a better looking chest, not being an MP-03/11 remold, and not having the jet's nosecone hanging behind his crotch like a massive turd (and arguably having one of the best headsculpts).

Still though, no one has nailed the character. I'd say what the design really needs are three things. First off, the legs need at least some better thigh-covering knee-guards. I'd say the best solution [I can think of] is just straight up make the knees "double jointed" (two points of articulation) with the big old kneepad serving as a great cover for the knee and joints. Secondly, the wings should be on armatures connected to the back of his hips, similar to the MP-11 gun armatures. This would allow for the wings to sweep down by the legs without splitting them or having a mess of kibble, and allow for easy access and posing. Finally, the head. If you've gotta go fake nosecone, then it needs to be able to either hide away inside the torso, or else at least sit on the back. If the head-cone size is compatible with the alt mode nosecone size, then have the head transform right onto the front of the cockpit.

Why not check out the IDW inspired iGear Raptor Squadron?

I am perfectly fine with iGear version. Only thing I wish he had is heel spurs and a better head. Alt mode is fantastic for me especially.

@ Exousia: +1 for the thigh-high CFM boots. TT's comes the closest, but that isn't saying much.

    Too chunky, too big.

The best Voyager-scaled Seekers, at the moment, is that random one that turned up in a few places and doesn't have knees

Jumping ship so soon? Typically fans don't start fire selling their previous version stuff until the newer version has at least seen a few video reviews. :p

*shrug* not for my IDW collection. Scales perfectly with all my other stuff :D . My IDW collection scales with TW Orion

I don't do the classics-classics size (Chromia, Armada body Starscream, MakeToys combiners, 99% of the CW stuff minus Ultra Magnus, way too small for me).

But figured I'd mention them as they fit with mine.
