It's nice to get a better idea of how he scales with the other MP's however the more I see of him the less likely I feel I'm going to be impressed with him in hand. There just too much that is 'off' about him. I understand why, it's quite the feat of engineering to get the show robot mode out of that alt-mode, and they've had a good crack at it but...well...I don't think anyone can say they've smashed it.

I'm probably asking for too much in some respects but the hip kibble, the oversized nappy crotch, the way the shoulders hang, they seem like things they could have done better. As with all these things the jury remains out until Ive seen it in person, and I half expect I'll forgive/try to ignore my issues once he is in hand, but my excitement is very much contained for now.

 

Wow, looks amazing to me. In-hand that hip-kibble is going to be the same non-issue as Ultra Magnus's infamous butt-flap (for me, at least). My only complaint - or rather nitpick - is that I much prefer the older style of collector card, the ones that stopped with MP-21. These new painting-like ones remind me of 3P cards. That's just my OCDs talking, though, given that I only look at the cards once and leave them in the box anyway.  

It's just an accessory, a nice homage to the original toy - the transformation is all-in-one.

Also yeh he is not perfect ,think of it in this way ,he could have no head,limited articulation and lack of detail

I can live with the hip kibble and bun tires the only thing I wish are for the arms to be moved an inch forward.....that would look great to me....

Most of these new shots are very heartening, though he looks awkward again in the last few. I'm much more optimistic about him.

Taking another look at the last few shots I noticed his belly tab isn't folded down and that dude needs to cut his nails. Perfect  

 

In my head, I just tell myself that the hip panels are Ironhide's new holsters because he's the weapons specialist  

 

Is TT messing with us? These in hand shots look so much better then anything we've seen. The proportions, the face sculpt, the way the panels line up in the chest. Twilight zone. I'm excited again
