At a bar I go maximum speed, after 2 or 3 drinks I'm constantly cracking up jokes (friendly drinker here). I'm not good with bitchy people who are self loathing and feel victimised all the fucking time. Be a fucking man for fucks sake.

Also I'm a professional joker, I stop cracking jokes when they start to become more offensive and less funny. It means I drank past my funny bone fase. I'm quite a pro, lol.

And honoured to be your SIG for this month cracka. :dj

Yeah im a joker too but my comedy is quite dark. Also i wonder about the people who when you say "hey man thats nice" they reply with "what the fuck is that supposed to mean". Like I've said numerous times before, our opinions are our own. If you think ft makes some ugly shit it doesnt make you a bad dude. You're in the minority with that opinion but no need to chop your head off and shit down your neck. That chrome gigasaur is a thing of pure magnificence too btw.

    Just opened Sunsurge.
I love the look in both modes.
My only complaint is that the left side of his chest doesn't sit flush so there is a gap. It is almost like the panel doesn't fit where it is supposed to. I doesn't look bad - barely noticeable when up close, but it is driving me crazy knowing it is there :)

EDIT: The gap looks like the one in the October 1, 2015 Update on the first page of the thread

If there is one "negative" about Sunsurge, it's the neck/shoulder panels.

I can guarantee you just have it mistransformed because of how fiddly it is.

Make sure the neck and shoulder joints is completely flat , so it's like this:

    _|_

There is also a mod you can do to make it even easier, but those pictures are probably buried deep in the thread by now.

But yeah completely flat, and not crooked. Make sure once everything is flat and straight to push down on the shoulder panels pretty good like. This will straighten up the fake chest and make it look very flush.

His shoulder area that folds up and tucks withhis head in alt mode. When you fold it you'll notice it tabs together. Well the grey swing arm that folds the window out doesn't have clearance when in bot mode cause it hits the female peg hole. The pics of the mod performed involved filing away some of the swing arm to make clearance but you can cut out the female peg hole thats in the way as well. I've chosen neither cause it doesnt bother me that much.but whatever you do don't force the window down trying to make it flush with force as you'll damage the tiny little clip on the backside of his chest piece that holds that swing arm. Hope that helps :lol

I ended up following Jarrod's mod of cutting away some of the grey hinge to make that side of the chest sit flush, and it worked perfectly. I've now got the transformation from robot to car nailed, too; I just need to get things as fluid going the other way. A couple of weeks into owning him and he is among my favourite MPs, though - he rates above Tracks, the Datsuns and Wheeljack for me. I'm wondering whether to cancel Spinout since Sunsurge is so great or see how that turns out too. Either way, I hope BadCube makes some more car bots. They could still do with getting their plastic and finish up to FT levels, but that's a minor quibble (at least they don't over-tighten everything). But yeah, at the risk of repeating myself, what a truly great figure.

I have a lazy short cut that works for me everytime transforming Surge back to robot. If you pull his head and neck up by force and then try to adjust the panels the way you want it to sit. His built is tougher than it looks and I am not worry about breaking anything.

I think the animators tried to make the best representation of the toy as possible. And I think it worked out fine. I think Sunsurge knocks it out of the park.

I consider Spinout like DX-09's Carry. Conceptual as far as not completely toon accurate or toy accurate, but you know who it is. Just depends on which way you want to go. Sunstreaker is a concept car by nature.

I'm leaving my chrome on and using the silver as backups if the chrome ever gets chipped or foggy.

As someone who's only ever been interested in official MPs, I've never even been tempted to pick up a 3P figure before. They never felt like they quite fit next to the TT designs (and as a former designer myself, I have a pretty critical eye).

But this guy is really tempting me to make an exception. From what I can see in pictures and reviews, he truly looks like he belongs next to all the official guys.

To make matters worse, Sunstreaker is my most wanted MP. I've heard the rumours about a possible TT version being announced for this year... but those are just rumours.

Question for those who have this guy: how do the materials feel in-hand? Does he feel like a TT MP?

to me he doesn't feel like a TT MP, he feels better and what a TT MP should be

solid design and accurate on both modes... I loooove the fake chest so he's just like the toon

he feels solid and sturdy. the transformation is tricky but worth it for how good he is in both modes. TT would never offer both chrome and silver as options for his parts

Oh to be at this point in your collecting.... Your wallet is SO f'd right now. I don't own this and I can tell you better than or same as TT. As are many 3rd Parties welcome to the other side it's expensive...... But there is plenty of room.

D'oh. Sorry you feel that way. In fact, I much prefer many of my 3P to the official figures. They're just that much better to me. So if anything, it's the officials that don't quite cut it.

Doesn't matter whose tramp stamp is on the box - treat yourself :)

    Agreed!

Equal to TT's best and in many recent cases.......better. The body panels certainly fit better than Tracks or the Lambos.

Oh man... I think I gotta do it. This guy just looks too good.

Thanks for all the feedback guys.

I've never had anything against 3P figures... I just REALLY loved MP-10 through MP-21. Those guys are just perfect in my eyes.

But it's feeling like the two sides are going in opposite directions - TT is really underwhelming with guys like Tracks while companies like Badcube are really upping their game.

From what I've seen of Sunsurge, I can't even really imagine how TT could top this guy. He's a pretty perfect representation in both modes.

TT is trying to keep cost down which is cool but addicts like us dont care about price when we need a fix.
