There would likely be sales *if* the current batch don't sell through fast enough. But I doubt they're planning on it. Could be limited stock to expressly avoid that.

I'm probably the only one that had and still has zero interested in the regular CW releases, but I definitely want the G2 releases. The only money I've spent on CW stuff so far was those $4-6 legends that Amazon had on sale; I'm like in for only $20 so far haha.

I could see TRU and Target putting this set on sale, but not the other sites unless it's a major holiday event sale of some sort.

Unfortunately we just entered holiday drought season in the US. No major nationwide holidays until Memorial Day at the end of May. :(

Any chance Takara will release their own G2 Superion?

Yeah I know I was thinking more like BF haha, don't think they do anything on Memorial day do they? But hopefully TRU starts sending out those coupons.

Always happy to see anything from G2, the neon color schemes have a charm to them.

Wow. Even HTS got it without narry a word from Hasbro on a release window.

But isn't January when a few people said it was listed under for TRU's computers? Guess we can expect that May Computron in May.

    When was Victorion listed?

On the plus side, if this is the pattern to expect...I'm less concerned about getting one as it appears the "Collector Packs" will thankfully be ALL OVER when if comes to online retail.

Good on Hasbro. One for one so far.

Changed my mind. I cancelled TFS and ordered from Walmart. I pick it up next Friday. Free store pick up and a grand total of 105.46 :)

I got mine off of TCP. I'm surprised by how reasonably priced this is. With CA sales tax the sum of those parts would actually be greater than the mere $100 they're charging. And I used the fairest prices I could think which is still less than what Target's been charging for deluxes and voyagers as of late.
I hope Menasor goes up soon as well so I can ship both at once.

It's actually essentially the same price as buying them separately, and usually the idea of a pack is there is a discount for buying in bulk.

So while in the face of some insane Hasbro price gauging over the last couple of years this seems like a steal, it is just what we used to call normal, sane, acceptable pricing.

    Seriously, this.

So many folks just don't bother to do the math (or do it wrong), or they are typically price-complacent TF fans. :banghead:  A small discount would go a long way, but seems to me... seems to me that TFs are not selling well at all. It would explain the high prices applied to the small consumer sect. If these toys sold better, we'd see more discounts (as paradoxical as that sounds). $100 isn't as bad as I would expect, but it could be a lot better. Times are tough for EVERYONE, Hasbro; not just you.
Thanks, Nevermore! :thumb  I'ma' takin' a look! :D

The price not being terrible is still great as far as I'm concerned. For the online retailers like BBTS and TCP to keep that price when buying a full combiner set of the individual figures would actually be MORE expensive still makes this a good deal (or at least a decent one). Most of the Platinum Edition sets have been overpriced. This set manages not to do that.
It's certainly not the good deal that say ROTF Superion was when he went on sale (I think even the regular price was 35$ or so which was still great). But it's not overpriced unless you consider that even retail prices are more than they should be these days.

I kind of like this look, but since he doesn't scale with my only CW combiner- I'll pass.
