    According to his official Facebook and Twitter accounts, David Bowie died yesterday at 69, surrounded by his family, after a 18 month fight with cancer.

    Thank you for all the good times we had and we'll continue to have thanks to your songs!

    Rest in peace.

    wow, that sucks.

    i didn't even know he was battling cancer. that's terrible.

    Couldn't believe it. David Bowie is dead: what a loss! I haven't yet had a chance to listen to Blackstar, but evidently, in hindsight, he's foretelling his own death on this album. What an incredible artist!!!
    I only wish I could have seen a live concert...

    I may have only been 10 yrs old when I saw the Glass Spider Tour at the Ottawa Super Ex, but it left an impression on me.

    Incredibly sad, might take a while to sink in, I didn't know he was ill. I think I remember a rumour about a year ago but this was really surprising considering he has only just released an album.

    Been in love with his music for as long as I can remember. So much creativity and originality. He will be greatly missed

    Not one of those things you want to wake up to hear. Two of my favorite artists gone within a month of each other. Weiland and Bowie. RIP.
