Yup if that is the case you two could work something out to get it fixed. In the meantime do you want me to add you to the list if you are willing to add to purchase a figure for the parts (if you can't work something out with Lango) ? If so just let me know the amount you are willing to contribute. :)

Unfortunately the hands are pinned to left and right specific wrist pieces (the grey piece that the hands are attached to). I tried a swap already and broke the plastic tab that held the hand pin in place. Figured I would try just finding a complete assembly with the correct right hand parts, since a simple hand swap will not work.

Hmmm.. but people were talking about swapping hands. So I wonder how they did it...

It's up to you how much you are willing to contribute if we get enough people to purchase a figure for parts. Throw down a number you'd be willing to pay for it. Let me know and I can add you to the list. :)

Don't try removing the metal pin. Instead:

    - Take out the two philip screws holding the forearm together.

    - Separate the forearm pieces. One half will be held with a pin to the elbow joint, don't worry about that one.

    - You'll see the hand piece attached to the black/grey piece that rotates around a plastic pin/pole for transformation purposes. Pull/slide it off the pole. Put in the other hand in and reverse these instructions :)

    Wa-la.

Doesn't work that way. Like I said the left and right grey pieces the hands are attached to are specific to the left and right sides. I have an extra left hand on a right wrist. You have to remove the hand to swap.

Are there really so many issues with SS that you need a junkion group just for his parts?

I tracked down a MP Star Scream for parts. If anyone is still in need let me know and I can start cannibalizing the figure.

It all depends on the price and availability. Finding who we can have purchase it and be willing to take it apart and send out all the parts to everyone.

Also the price/cost factor will determine how much people have to pay. Which if it's a good deal/price we can lower the prices people were willing to pay. So for example we don't have to charge $10 to the person who just wanted a landing gear cover.

So let us know the details.

Same here if the price is reasonable.

I am not planing on making any money off the parts but I paid 70 for a figure and if I can only unload 2 parts at 10 bucks shipped I'll be out close to 40 bucks plus the time and money to pack and ship out the parts. For example the landing gear cover at 10 bucks is small but to pack it up and ship across the country is still 5 bucks maybe more. My goal is to help as many people as I can without loosing money. That being said if everyone can send me a picture and exact details of which part they need I can start taking apart the figure. Once I have the part ready I'll send out PayPal info and start shipping. If you guys are good with that let me know and send a PM

Ok I updated the first post with pictures showing the part I need (Or lack of it being there). If everyone wants to post the pics here I'll update the first post.

I understand not wanting to lose money. At that point I'd tell you to not do it. However at the same time I don't think it will take $5 to mail a landing gear cover wrapped in a little bit of bubble wrap and sent in an envelope. It might cost more to send me my part for example since I'm in Canada but in the US I don't think it will be much for the smaller items. Maybe the cost of two stamps? Bigger items like whole wings or hands or something yeah. But the dude who wanted just the landing gear cover? Hell that could be sent regular envelope mail.

But yeah it depends on how many people are interested. We had 3 so far. I also don't know if those guys who had the two opposite hands helped each other or not...

If we got 9 people interested at $10 a piece that would be $90. That would cover your price of the figure and then we would just have to see about shipping.

I only ship with tracking these days, that plus packaging materials 5 bucks for shipping is fair. Not to mention the labor involved in removing the parts. The math is off too. If 9 people pay 10 bucks that is only 45. The other 45 goes toward shipping each part. The way I see it I don't think there are 9 people who need parts and I will most likely loose money on this, but at least people with a bad SS now have a chance to fix their figure.

This may not help anyone currently posting in this thread but I will leave it here in case someone pops in and needs it.

If you are like me your Hasbro Masterpiece Starsceam came without a finger. If you are even luckier it came missing both pointer fingers! If so you can order replacements via my Shapeways store. Note these will need to be painted. While you're there feel free to take a look at the other cool stuff in my store!
