Why on Earth are people talking about Liokaiser's feet as if they're (a) new and (b) indicative of a Predaking?

Go look at some pictures of Brawl's leg mode, folks, that's just what his hand-feet-gun looks like.

 

My shelf is ready, but my wallet isn't.

Damn you for making Computron a box set, Hasbro. Damn you for making them a box set and forcing me to buy G2 Bruticus to make sure my Onslaughts aren't outnumbered by Scattershot. DAMN YOOOOOOOOU.

 

I get you, but do you really think we should have Optimus Primal combining with the cast of the axalon? Seems like everything released so far as been a combiner. Or if under titan wars, Megatron as a headmaster?

 

Sky Lynx might just work with a new beast head and wings

 

That's what grinds my gears. Leozack is so easy to do it's laughable.

And it would've worked so much better than the Sky-Lynx mold. I really hope Takara makes another Oddball-Combiner like Grand Galvatron with the Sky-Lynx mold (or just release it separately) and just make a retool of Silverbolt as Leozack for the Liokaiser boxset.

 

so here's the thing:

on one hand, i am as tired of them milking molds in CW as anyone.

on the other, i am going to pretty much only display them in combined mode ANYWAY, so as long as the combined modes look significantly different, i'm pretty good with it.

So hopefully they can correct Scattershot's brown here, and based on what remolding we see, aside from the head, Computron's looking pretty good (Strafe looks to have some significant remolding!) i mean, i'd have loved a new chest, but i can live with that.

Liokaiser i am digging the crap out of: he's so obscure in the US, that it's unlikely he'd ever get a "his own unique mold" release, and frankly i am never going to combine Skylynx, so this lets me get a unique combiner that looks pretty solid in combined mode, add's another Scramble City Combiner to the 'con shelf and domesticates some rare Japanese characters for the first time. I get why some folks are upset, especially if he was a favorite, but as someone who's only ever seen a few pix of the OG toy it's a total win in my book.

and it's cool that it looks like we will see these box sets take us through the end of CW and probably overlap the beginnings of TR.

Superions chest looks literally nothing like Liokaisers and propionatly Silverbolt looks nothing like.leozack bar being jetformers.

 

Can be retooled, right? I don’t own the mold but isn’t Superion’s chest Silverbolt’s legs pushed together? Just add wing-kibble on the legs and you have a Liokaiser-chest.

Again, some retooling would solve that, but I would take a Silverbolt with a new head if it means I get a figure of Leozack with a robot mode.

 

People are getting confused because the artist drew them too big.

 

There's always 3rd party upgrade sets to help Computron look different from Superion. Trust me I have a feeling they'll get around doing it eventually.

 

I agree with the reuse of the skylinx mold. This is an underwhelming update for liokaiser.

 

I just cant do a Liokaiser that aint 6 bots with Death Cobra as an alternate limb. Cant doo $600 for a 3p Liokaiser either  . I need that Skylynx though. Cant wait to get that Bruticus too.

 

I question how much you actually know or care about Leozack and the breastforce if you feel a Silverbolt with a new head would somehow be satisfactory. Outside of more retooling he'd still look like a chincky robot and not a sleek jet and would be twice the size of his teammates

 

The only things underwhelming about him for me is the torso choice and the fact the two combiners I really want are expensive box sets.

 

I'm pretty cool with Leozack being re-imagined as a Skylynx-based Beastformer. I think I like that better than if he had been yet another Silverbolt (which would have been boring... and as folks have mentioned, the chest wouldn't look as much like Liokaiser).

There's something kind of fun, to me, about a team of standard humanoid robots being led by the crazy giant griffin/dragon thing that Skylynx is. It's different, but I think in a good way.

Although I can certainly understand why people would want a "proper" Leozack. I'd have no problem with that either, but I don't dislike the way this is being handled.
