My happiness was premature. :-( The second time I transformed it, the dino head popped clean off. It is held on with a tiny screw, which just pulled clean out. The plastic socket the screw was supposed to go into was barely even there, so the thread was biting into practically nothing. I will email Planet Express and see if they can replace the part.

 

Mine came in this morning. This little dude is heavy and seems to be well built. I was careful with the head though just in case. I really like it and will probably pick up future releases by Hero Hobby, assuming this ends up selling enough to warrant more figures.

One minor complaint though. The chest under the clear piece has a molded red area that looks like it will be tricky to put an autobot logo there, assuming I'm able to pull the clear piece off. I would've preferred that they left that area smooth so that a logo would go on easier.

Lastly, not really digging the name. I'll be calling mine Little Ass Kicker.

Dropped them a message on Weibo and they actually replied! They are indeed reissuing the 2 and not doing anything else.

 

Well that sucks. Was hoping for a complete set plus an x version that would be worth $1500 in 5 years lol

I wonder how many they actually made. Baba only had 20, and SirToys and RoboToyBase don’t list how many they have. But, it still seems a tad odd that they might’ve made a sub 100 unit run.

Then again, I’m glad I got a chance to get a Tiny Rex of my own. Now I just gotta hope it ships with out issue, Solus willing.
