Thanks, I'll have to be careful how much alt-mode shovelling I do. I've been planning a bunch of alt-mode photos with the Constructicons and was going to include some alt-mode construction activity. Don't want to ruin stickers lifting energon cubes or something.

 

The sticker is on the shovel so that all constructicons have a symbol at the front pointing forward (hence why Mixmaster should be pointing the G1 way).

Ah I see. I thought it was a little weird at first, but I guess Mixmaster has enough clearance for 1 more click on his ratchet joint. The only reason I bring this up is to be clear I'm not over extending the Mixmaster joint like that one picture floating around the internet of the Hasbro Devy.

 

It was mentioned by onnsake on the first day of release that Scrapper's shovel "bucket " has a stickered Decepticon symbol while everyone else's was tampoed on. Also, before the official release of UW Devy, early samples lacked the symbol on Scrapper's bucket, causing some of us to speculate if the factory had forgotten about it. In hindsight, yup they forgot it but applied a sticker to compensate. It's my opinion that the sticker appears to be a foil type with is slightly more resilient than a paper based. So I'm glad we got something and good on TT for catching the mistake.

 

I was as surprised as you when I read your post and went to verify. My perspective is: instead of Scrapper having one less click, it's better to say Mixmaster has one more. You can look at the clearance on Scrapper and know there is no more place to go. Plus, the extra click on MM allows for more dynamic one leg stretched out posing. UW Devy is a nice way to end the 2015 year of already excellent TF releases. For me, it's the Toy of the Year. See you guys in 2016. Happy New Year everyone  

 

that sticker ain't comin off for shit. i gave mine the fingernail test and that thing is on there. YMMV but mine was definitely on there, so much i could barely tell it wasn't a tampo.

 

For those who have expressed interest & pmed me regarding the UW-04 Devy souvenir coin, thank you very much for your interest. At last the item have been sold to a fellow member.

With that said happy new year all and UW-04 Devy is my toy of the year for 2015. What a great way to close off the year.  

 

I just want to report that it's the same for me. The sticker is like a goddamn tank. Finger nail test didn't do anything, and I tried to damage it just to have it a little marked, but not much else.

I'm not worried that this sticker will be coming off. It seems to be on there for the long run.

 

What are the odds of this set dropping to 180.00 like Takara MetroPlex did on BBTS in a few months?

 

This sticker discussion had me thinking, why the shovel and not where Hasbro placed it, on top of the hood? And I realized why, someone at Hasbro messed up. Hasbro chose to have that decepticon symbol on the roof of Scrapper, having it face forward in vehicle mode (makes sense) but then in Devastator mode, the symbol ends up being inverted upside down if you want to lock in the leg (which is the way it is supposed to be).

This looks dumb on the Hasbro version, leading people to flip it the other way but thus unlocking the leg and making it less stable. Takara was smart and didnt place the decepticon logo there so that it wouldnt look off in any mode (there is an indent on the roof of scrapper though, which looks triangular, if a sticker would have been placed there it would have to be right side up, unlike what Hasbro did).

 

Yeah, there's that and Takara was going for a cartoon inspired paint scheme which always has a Decepticon symbol in Scrapper's bucket.

If anyone went the slow method too...I just received my shipment of a couple of TT Devy's, shipped 12/18, received today 2/8, so just under 2 months for the boat method from Nippon-Yasan.

 

Good news, my UW Devastator finally arrived from Nippon-Yasan today! I had it shipped by boat on December 15th and predicted it would arrive around Valentine's Day. That's exactly two months delivery time. Am I psychic, or what?  

The great thing is that I didn't get charged a customs fee for this! So the total cost for this set was a very appealing £115. I guess the slow delivery method might have helped with that. If Takara releases Fortress Maximus with the Master Sword, I'll have to order him from NY again and select boat shipping. Hell, I can wait.  

 

$166 us huh. So i would have paid an extra $26 for the paint, proper purple hands, elbows, and weapons. Damn i should've gone takara   enjoy! Its a great figure
