Latest issue's out, reading it right now.

Oh hi Carnivac, Polar Claw(rip), Stampy, Claw Jaw and Tidal Wave! Tidal Wave seems to have his Armada body, but turns into what is the whale on the cover of the issue.

Also can't seem to tell who the shark dude is. Probably Cybershark, but the body design isn't the same.

Sadly we don't get to see Mesothulas yet, but it's gotta be Tarantulas based on the other guys who just showed up.

I think this is only the second time ever I've sworn out loud while reading a comic (the first was when Rewind's Data Ghost appeared early on in MTMTE S2).

I could go to News and Rumors, post a huge spoiler list of who appears in this comic, and not a single person would think it was legit.

When Polar Claw transformed, I lost it. When they said 'Tidal Wave', I had to read it 6 times to convince myself it wasn't a hallucination. Holy balls. AND HUGGING STAMPY TOO?!

I'm not sure how good this issue actually was because I was so busy going nuts over who was in it.

    I guess this confirms
    Tarantulas
    .

    Because seriously.
    Tidal Wave's a hugging whale.
    So nerding.

Y'know I never would've expected a "Wreckers" comic to be chock full of Beast Wars characters and references. Though I am a bit sad to see them kill off my favorite BW character like that. Oh well, at least he got an appearance in something after all this time.

Overall I loved this issue, looking forward to #3.

    Loved this!

There's a lot of character development for both Springer and Kup. Prowl acts just the way he should and this is the smartest he has been portrayed in a while. There are even Beast Wars characters for the fans!

Plus, I must say that I was really missing Springer, his personality is something pretty fun to watch. Add the great amount of content and it makes it the best Transformers comic currently.

It's basically a de-Transmetalised version of his TM2 toy. You can see the jaw kibble on his feet and the split tail coming off his back.

Sure, right after Hasbro finally releases Omega Supreme about 5 years from now...

Mind you they still haven't bothered with a legit IDW Overlord yet so good luck with anything else.

Springer's line is the best when describing Prowl.

    "Prowl, you are a monster."

    "Noted."

Springer you have a gift of understatement.

Please Nick Roche continue writing Prowl as intelligent mastermind.

While some questions were answered I still can't really guess what kind of affliction is affecting Verity. Apart from that it was pretty cool seeing some of the
    Beast Wars characters show up
and judging from that last panel, I guess we'll see what's
    stored on Aequitas next.

Maybe she's got diarrhea. I have no idea. Not even if it's important.

On the one hand: Claw Jaw's in IDW! Yay!

On the other hand: Claw Jaw's probably going to die.

I really like IDW's move from G1 to just transformers. I like it a lot. I do hope we get some explanation as to why these beasties are here, and a little how. Couple lines of dialogue would be good. Not a whole issue I hope.

To go along with all this, is Guzzle being turned crazy by
    Angolmois energy
? It seems really similar to what happened to Razorbeast in the comics.

I was a little disappointed that
    the giant whale wasn't Orcanoch
but the transformation stuff immediately made it better.

I dunno; the other Beastformers have similar speech bubbles to Guzzle once he consumes it (so I assume it's some sort of booster) but all it does is just boost what's already there. He's already a super trigger-happy "KILL EVERYTHING" guy; it's probably more that he just took a shot of superenergon and now feels even MORE like a "KILL EVERYTHING" guy because he's stronger.

Honestly I found the image of him killing a guy and essentially drinking his blood pretty disturbing. Not in a "can't read this" way but in a "oh god wow he's gone off the deep end and is genuinely scary" way. Sure the Wreckers are all about excessive force, but for Roadbuster it seems more matter of fact than Guzzle's "MUST KILL EVERYTHING I'M ALLOWED TO AND MAKE IT SUFFER"

I loved the first issue, but this one just tripled my excitement for this series. With every transformation my jaw dropped more and more. Love everything about this.

Amazing, this is how you properly introduce Beast Warriors into IDW. Scott and Barber take note of this.

Just read it. It was....fine I guess. Perhaps you've gotta be a BW/Pretender fan to appreciate those cameo's.

But to me these rabbits and bears aren't much of a threat. I thought one of the key rules to a sequel/Follow up is to raise the stakes, yet even the big one comes off as as stupid crybaby and Prowl is hated more than his captors are..... I'll give the next one a read but this book so far is certainly no LSOTW.

Love Springer back. He's great. Nice seeing Prowl be cold and calculating, not crazy loon that Barber had him as for a bit. Liking the long-in-coming callbacks to Kup's stint on the crystal insanity planet, and the forgotten about bit that Prowl had some control of Kup.

It's not hitting for me yet. It's enjoyable, I really like the different art style, but the first two issues of Last Stand were absolutely mind blowing. This is not. But it also does have a very intriguing build, so I'm not bleating or crying. It's good and I'm on board,just... eh.

Guzzle is obnoxious. I really don't like him, and not in a "he is a bad guy and should be dislikeable." It's just too much and I don't want him around. The drinking Polar Claw's blood bit was fucking stupid.

I'm not really digging Roche's take on Arcee. She's so super crabby and normally she is much more cool and confident. Here she's jumping at every shadow and shrieky. It feels like several steps back in characterization.

I am quite enjoying seeing the BW characters, especially because Cybershark and Claw Jaw were two of my favorite BW toys. A personal mark-out moment. I didn't clue in that Tidal Wave was ARMADA Tidal Wave in beast form. Awesome. And clearly that's Tarantulas...

    stick the landing, Roche. =)
