Oh man, it was such a pain in the ass to buy the green one at a decent price, then it turned into a pain in the ass to even buy it at all.

The red is also a lot more attractive than the green version, urghhh on the hunt for this again.

Pop culture in Japan is a whole lot different than here, where they value animation a whole lot more than in the US. This also doesn't have any effect on MP's getting released here.

This is happening way too much for my liking. at least the Green one they did was unique looking.

 

I'm waiting for the KO makers to bring out a blue Convoy, similar to the one used for Diaclone Ultra Magnus.

 

I'm really grateful I have no interest in this. At least the green one was interesting enough to try and obtain.

 

Love the mold but two versions is enough for me, and to me they are now getting uglier and uglier.

 

Admittedly, yeah, that's part of the reason why I'd almost be happier with the KO of this [should it happen].

 

The BAPE brand, unlike Versace or Ralph Lauren is very much a 'street' or urban brand. You find BAPE (and associated brands) at upmarket sneaker, skate and sportswear stores (though UPMARKET versions).
It was a very popular brand in hip hop circles for example.
And the hip hop, skate and urban scenes love the whole 80's toy and collectors toy scene. Hence why you get all those super expensive vinyl art figures etc.
And why sometimes you see super cool sneaker and streetwear stores selling MP toys.

 

For some reason, this doesn't look as good as the green version... Tried so hard to get the green but no luck. You guys think this will be good trade bait?

 

Give it time, and a KO of this red BAPE version will be released.

 

What is a good going for price now? And was 452 it's cheapest point?

 

I think someone said they saw it for 330 on ebay but listing got pulled down, must have realized they listed it too cheap  

 

Okay, so I'm a big sucker for the bapes. I broke down and ordered one from fleaBay for 460 yesterday. I'm already one figure in so I figured f#@k it let's complete the set. I can't wait to have both green and red (original not KO) cammo bapes at home.

 

Care to share the seller?? I haven't seen them below $580!

 

He's sold out now, but he had the offer option, like always, I'm making offers and lucky me he accepted. I know, 580 is the going price, actually is above 600, but try making offers that's my secret. Sometimes it works but I mostly get shut down.
