Just got my Megs yesterday. I was thrilled. But I had to go to a birthday party at a local bar. So I throw Megs in the car (gun mode, covered up with papers n' crap) and go to the party.

After the party, I have to go to work at a different bar in a different town. I really want to fiddle with my new Megs. My car is on a lonely street, and I figure it will be all of 9 seconds before the gun is so dissasembled that it no longer resembles the real thing. Plus I'm sitting inside the car where not many people can see.

Just my luck, someone saw. It takes me like 20 minutes to transform the thing to 'bot mode. Just as I'm finishing I hear "put your hands out the window where we can see them!" I instantly knew what happened. When I put my hands out the window and look up, there's no less than 10 cops and 5 cars surrounding me. Doh!

They take me out of the car and I'm saying "It's a toy! It's a Transformer!". Well, it takes them all of 5 seconds to realize that, yes, it is a toy. But to make matters worse I smile when I'm nervous (and I was terrified) so they thought I was laughing at them. They were all on-edge and pissed anyway even without that.

They send me on my way without incident, but damn... I was shook up all night. I went to the station today to appologize to all involved but was told to come back on Tuesday when the shift manager is in. Needless to say I will return Tuesday.

 

Dude, when you're going out to party, leave the transformers at home. It will still be there when you return.

Appropriate title   Guess you lucky they weren't "Shoot first, ask questions later" kinda cops. Chances are though the orange cap wouldn't have stopped whoever from calling the cops in the first place.

 

Even if it was with the orange plug of death, do you think whoever called the police would've noticed it? Good thing he was already transformed when they arrived  

 

You were very lucky that you had Megatron in robot form. Otherwise you might be in the hospital or worse....

Nice! haha, Delaware must have a really anal policing force. In LA they probably would have either laughed at the fact that you only had one gun, or made fun of you for taking it out in public without getting the Justitoys parts first.

 

I hope everyone has learned a lesson today:

for real. I'm going to be moving in 2 weeks, and I'm currently in possession of mp megs, g1 megs, browning and magnum robo. if I get pulled over they'll think I've got an arsenal. kinda freaks me out.

I know. That kind of shocked me, too. I was totally in "Transformer land".

But seriously... That story made me laugh... I'm glad that Darwin didn't strike that day though, gives you a chance to play with Megatron at home!
