LOL. I'm in the Christmas Spirit (even if I do have the damn Flu).

 

Not really. In tank mode its kind of expanded but still not hollow, and the robot is pretty heavy for its size... the way it collapses makes it kind of dense

 

Do we actually have a confirmed release date? (I've been kind of following this thread, but I missed that)

Also, if it's really that close, do we know for sure yet if he's just got the one ugly, ugly head? (at one point I think Omni was saying two- but this was a long time ago)

I cancelled my preorder after being told by my Retailer that this thing was "dead" a couple of weeks back. If that turns out to be bollocks and it's truly imminent (with a better head) I'm going to be mildly peeved. I could even stretch that to ticked with a following wind.

In all sober seriousness; TCP is saying we could very well see this guy as soon as this month. I know the 'mothership' communication from Omni has been pretty much radio silence recently, but the word is he could be coming soon. Obviously things do change, but I wouldn't lie about what I know and what I know is that reputable sources are saying sooner rather than later.

 

Did you guys know that Spinout was originally going to be Sunstreaker's name in the Marvel Universe?

In the episode "Roll Out", Sunstreaker says with Sideswipe's voice, "alright bro, lets go" when Sunstreaker and Sideswipe are driving out of base to do their Jet Judo.

They are recognized as brothers.

But yeah, you're right. Whatever that happens to mean when it comes to sentient robot life forms.

 

Yeah, saying, "bro" isn't exactly definitive proof either. It may be recognized that they are brothers but that probably was just something filled in as canon after the fact. The ninja turtles see Splinter as a father too, you know.

It's likely two more weeks before we get the next delay.

Also, no other Transformers has ever referred to each other as "bro" (in Sunbow at least) unless they were actually brothers.

 

in Transformers Devastation Sideswipe refers to Sunstreaker as "my brother"

 

Even then, we don't really know what that means in the Transformers context (not counting retcon interpretations, that is). Like the Splinter example, it might have been some kind of "adopted" thing, or friends-for-life, or who knows...

I mean, they're not even the same mold... What does this make Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen?  

 

Or Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp? Rumble and Frenzy, Reflector, Grapple and Inferno or Ironhide and Ratchet? I'm in the belief that the brothers thing is specifically for Sunstreaker and Sideswipe since no other pair/trio were referenced.

On the other foot, brother was used in the movie when the damaged Decepticons were jettisoned from Astrotrain.

It could mean brother in arms for all we know.

 

But it's in the tech specs... Whether they said it in the cartoon or not we all knew it to be the case in 1984.

 

They are brothers, Fraternal Twins. They don't have to look alike to be related. It IS stated in CANON that they are twin brothers. Whereas Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen are of the same frame design and not necessarily related, though some do consider them actual brothers.

Mr. Omnigonix? Is there a timeframe in 2016 for SpinOut's release yet? I cannot wait to have this guy on my display shelf, next to his TWIN BROTHER.
