Yeah, had a moment of Nerdrage there about Glit. Granted, this may just be a meaningless cameo, or another white Ravage look alike.

It would be interesting to see a group of Cons who did some of the worst stuff in the war, who now go around trying to do good deeds and be big metal mother Teresas in an attempt to save whats left of their sparks.

that's what I thought too. unusual to see a Botcon toy in a mainline comic, I'm guessing it was the first resource Sakamoto saw for the character and went with it.

also nice to see Skyquake again. him being unceremoniously killed off before we got to see any villain merit out of him was the one thing that annoyed me in LSOTW, so hooray for flashbacks

It could be Pounce, since Glit was killed a while back, and Pounce's only appearance in IDW to my memory is "All His Engines".

 

Are you talking about the Drift mini? Because that was never said at all to be Glit (and wasn't in fact even intended to be him), and I don't think anyone would complain about them ignoring a dead background character. Heck, that same issue showed Hot Shot as dead... and yet he's a living Camien.

 

assuming that's Glit, and assuming he's at all beholden to the tech-spec bio (because Roberts has TOTALLY written Tailgate, Cyclonus, Spinister, etc. according to their filecards), he can be a compassionate doctor and work in a brutal craphole.

I just don't necessarily see him as having to adhere closely to the filecard. A sadistic asshole would be unusual, but this is the same writer who took Tailgate from "lol he thinks traffic lights are alive so silly" to, well, Tailgate.

Probably Glit. Besides the classic "Ravage missiles", he has what appears to be a blue version of the cross symbol that a lot of the Autobot medics have been wearing from time to time.

 

Kinda makes me dread that what they're doing to Skids might be worse...

 

But Hot Shot had an identical figure in the Henkei! Henkei! line called "Hot Rod". Probably Hot Rod who died.

 

There's as much proof of that as it actually being Glit who died. Or that he was actually dead to begin with.

 

Poor Skids. Perhaps we get some info how Skids really meets Getaway....I have a bad feeling this is going be as rough as Garrus 9

In fact, you can see Quark right behind Skids on the last page of the preview. That is if Quark was the scientist guy Brainstorm was trying to save. Not sure I'm remembering the right name.

 

You're thinking of the right guy, but Quark wasn't yellow. So that's not him behind Skids.

 

I struck it up to innacurate comic coloring, or the lighting in the room. Quark was a tan-ish color, was he not? That bot in that image has the exact same body and head.

 

No, Quark was white. It's not lighting either when we see the same bot outside in the panel above, and he's still yellow. It's not the exact same body or head, either--far from it. Quark's design looks completely different from this guy, who doesn't have any of his microscope kibble or the indent in his head.
