This movie is really freaking good. I wouldn't like to see a sequel thou. It works great as a closing chapter to the Rocky series.
Creed 2 Already In The Works? Here's What We Know - CINEMABLEND I could see Rocky dying in the sequel so the Creed series could finally stand on its own. It's like rebooting the franchise by continuing it.
Given that we're approaching a new Cold War, I wouldn't be surprised if Creed 2 has Adonis Creed facing the son of Ivan Drago.
One thing I'd like to see: an opponent we'd love to hate, something we didn't get with Dixon in Rocky Balboa or Sporino in Creed.
Saw Creed on opening night, it was everything I was hoping it would be. Michael B. Jordan is a great leading actor, he should have great roles coming up in the future. I liked that most of the focus was on him and it wasn't all about Rocky. Stallone was great, but this movie is called "Creed" after all. Best part of the movie as a Rocky franchise fan was finding out who really won the fight at the end of Rocky III.
My only regret with this franchise was to see Rocky being so close of beating Dixon in Rocky 6. He only needed a couple more months of training to beat him! That should have been Rocky 7.
Saw this yesterday...loved it. Great acting and direction, especially in that single-panning shot boxing match wear Creed gets his first pro-win under Rocky's training. Also loved the scene where Creed runs down the street with the motorcycles escorting him. Great music.
Duke was Apollo's original trainer right? The one that trained Rocky in Rocky IV? I guess the guy who played his son in Creed might be a candidate for his next trainer? Shame about Stallone not wanting to do the sequel.
