True, but remember that these are based in Asia, and Christmas simply isnt the wallet burner over here. Thats CNY, and I think thats why there is a rush to get these out before the middle of January.

LTTP I know but Gundog then - amazingly striking bot mode. Wow. Really impressive. However... IMBAP but did anyone else find the transformation a bit of a pin? All that tabbing both along the arms and then the final side panel (the Jeep door). That was a drag. Love the alt mode, mind, slight scale issues aside.

Gundog is rather nice, the chunky bastard that he is. There's just something about him that elevates above Sphynx for me.

    :thumb  like wise dear sir!

    Totally feel that way too.

Spoilers bloody everywhere, Twitter, Insta, FB, big nouth friend/colleagues etc, even new toys spoiling films.
I've avoided all but the 1st couple of Star Wars trailers, only a couple of weeks to go there, but I did hear some Rylo stuff I didn't want to.
One of the worst offenders was a spoilery trailer of Return of the King, just before watching Return of the King at the cinema!! WTF!!
Or that TF news person with the name of a chocolate bar giving away a massive part of the final episode of Game of Thrones.
Then just today I saw pumpkingonzo's latest custom, Death of Starscream................great, so Starscream dies, no point watching the movie then!

I really want that faceplate head...

No spoilers, but I just watched the first episode of Jessica Jones. ****, this ain't your momma's Marvel. I read the Alias comics many, many times, but even so...

Yeah, I really enjoyed Jessics Jones. It's not quite up there with Daredevil, but it's still great. David Tennant is just fantastic in it.

    I must watch Daredevil again...

Wow, I thought I'd cut down on my spending so bought some shapeways stuff. Wham, UW Defensor and MT Rearend invoices hit. Good job I've been behaving.

Looking forward to the Thunderclash kit Glaug, already bought the prime to use it on and going to paint the legs red next week.

I actually thought Jessica Jones surpassed Daredevil storywise but Daredevil holds the title for Best ACTION!, and I usually don't tolerate the Superhero stuff that goes the 'No tights' route but in context of the character it worked really well. The re-imagining of a certain minor character has me wondering if they're playing a reeeally long game with the plan for Daredevil seasons past number 2.

Just wondering has anybody tried the oven cleaner paint removal technique on any CW figures? In particular I'm wondering if I remove the red from First Aid's chest is there a chance the plastic will still be a bit pink afterwards or will back to pristine white be possible?

At last someone else finding Gundog's transformation a bit of a PITA. I was beginning to think I was so far from everyone else's views that there must be something I was missing.

No I'm with you guys, I don't find the Gundog transformation a completely smooth and fun process, especially pegging the sides of the vehicle mode on. I always feel as though I am over-flexing the plastic.

    Those forearms are genius, though.

    All the best

Not got round to transforming mine yet but there's been a few that have slated it for the forearms.

I really like the way they basically accordion up for robot mode, and then unclip and go flat-panel-snake for vehicle mode :)  What bugs me about that process is more the tabbing you have to do to the underside of them which is often a blind process thanks to the obstruction caused by the arms.

But yeah, the fold up and fold out of the actual forearms is my favourite part of the transformation. Tabbing the sides of the vehicle (the bits that become part of the feet/heel) being my least favourite.

I find virtually every single tolerance and joint is nicer on the 2N than the 2Y.

    All the best

Trying to avoid all the Jessica Jones chatter for fear of spoilers... too excited, but just not had the time so far.

Interesting! I thought it was a pain first time round (and said as much in my review) but now I am used to it. I agree about the sides of the vehicle though, and I'm not a fan of pushing down the thin bonnet to tab into vehicle mode. Arms are indeed fun though.

Oh, there's also this... I think I mentioned before that I've recently dug a few old 'bots out of storage. So time for some photos, natch! :D

Those Unicron shots are astounding. Truly captured the menace in the very well-sculpted face. Those are REALLY good.

I'm finally typing up the Voodoo Salus review. I am so conflicted on this figure. So much right, yet so much wrong. This will not be the automatically perfect alternative for those who hate MP Ratchet.

    Thanks, matey. :)

Excited about the Salus review. Sounds like a tough one... can't wait to see what you make of it, especially as I have been rather on the fence myself.
