Okay...I'm sorry if this has come up in the thread before, and forgive my ignorance, but what mold is this? It's friggin' awesome looking, and maybe my brain is just playing tricks on me because of the colors, but I really cannot place that vehicle mode anywhere.

It's the Generations Drift mold, released around 2011-12. It was repainted into Blurr, and that was it until this came along.

Thank you! First time I've seen it, and I'm a big fan of that mold suddenly. Shame it already looks pretty pricey on eBay.

I don't know what it is about Drift, but I absolutely love this character. He's easily my third favorite, right behind Swipe/Jazz and Prowl. His story has always intrigued me.

I have his United figure, SG figure, Movie figures, Adventure figure and QT figure. So getting his ex-Decepticon alter ego was a no brainer and necessity. I'm probably going to double dip on this guy, which I rarely do for figures that aren't Masterpiece.

What's the difference between the United and Generations Drift? But yeah I love that mold and great use too for Drift.

He's more comic accurate with a bright white plastic being used, a cooler gray, and more paint applications in vehicle mode, on his head, arms, and chest for more comic accuracy. The light red paint used in the Hasbro version was swapped out with more crimson red paints and the gray seen in the sword on the Hasbro version is slightly modified in the Takara version.

Go Shooter, plus Police Sunstreaker(!), Camshaft(?), Downshift(?), Alpha Trion, Shouki & Daniel, some combiner thing, and that bird guy in the corner.

I'm not about to get my hopes up that they're hinting at future figures, but I'm glad they're just not forgetting about some of the options from that previous poll. Maybe some day, they'll live in plastic form...

I have two of these on order from HLJ. I think I might just cancel one, but he just looks so cool.
