Should I just be able to contact BBTS for the replacement parts if I ordered from them? Has anyone tried recently?

It's a nice companion for Yellow/Green Giant but I also dig the individual robot modes for Quantron. May end up double dipping on a couple of the figures when they release solo.

If you just ordered recently (since August, at least) then either the parts are included in a baggie and not installed, or there's a piece of paper indicating the parts are pre-installed.

If you ordered before that and/or you got a box that didn't have parts of a piece of paper saying the parts were pre-installed, yeah, I'd contact them.

Look carefully inside the Quantron box after you pull out the plastic container that holds the figures. My baggie of replacement parts was sitting inside the box itself.

I pre-ordered mine from BBTS before they were out, so it's definitely first run w/o the replacement parts. I'll send them a note and see what happens.

Mine (also from TFSource)did not come with any baggie of replacement parts, or the certificate.

Forgive my not being familiar with their names yet, but my main body guy definitely has the off-center waist. However, the car guy's head joint seems to move just fine when I compare it to the company site's picture and "over tightened" description of the problem - in fact, it seems a little loose if anything. I have not tried drill guy's combiner mode yet, but I think it's a safe bet that I need to request the replacement parts.

Got mine from tfsource yesterday and there were no replacement parts or certificate...a little upset since it is mentioned that they are included in the item description. My Metal Storm's waist definitely needs the fix.

To check if you have the replacement parts for sonic drill look at the floodlight/missile pods. If the male connector that goes into the waist has a little hook on the end it's the fixed part. If the female connector in the waist go straight through top-to-bottom then it's the new part.

The old floodlight/missile pod has a shorter male connector with no hook, and the waist female connection didn't go all the way through and was rather shallow.

Wow. That must be original stock from when the set was first released - the one I bought in August from BBTS also didn't have the parts pre-installed, but they did include a bag of replacement parts.

IIRC it was in the shipping box but not in the actual figure box - if you guys checked through all the packing material and nothing is there, you should email them.

I also caved and ordered Quantron during the recent TFSource sale. :(

Are there any parts that are prone to breaking? Like the translucent tabs on Celeritas that end up holding the knee piece of Quantron.

I received my Quantron from TFSource just the other day.

Not-Nosecone's lower leg snapped off when I tried to bend his knee. Plastic was super brittle, almost no force involved. There's a mushroom joint on the upper leg right below the knee that connects to the lower leg, and the cap just snapped right off.

Emailing back and forth with their returns guys now to see about a replacement. Very disappointed.

I did receive some replacement parts for known issues in a baggie. Wish they were pre-installed, but oh well. Scattorshot definitely needs his waist fix at the least.

First impression other than the crushing disappointment of a broken figure - these figures are tiny. Really, really small. There are pros and cons between Quantron and Warbotron's take, but I hadn't realized just how much of a size difference was really there until I got them in-hand.

I like the size. To me it's perfect. Warbotron is big, kludgey kids toy scale. Maketoys combiners offer more detail at a more compact scale that is collector grade rather than toy grade, imho.

In some ways I agree. Nosecone, for example - his nosecone, to be precise. I love the added texture detail that the Quantron version has. It looks like badass drill bit, appropriate for a scifi drill tank. The Warbo version of teh same character is a bit more directly an homage to the G1 design, but the drill bit itself is not great. It doesn;t really look like a drill at all. The weird "opening" feature seems to imply that maybe the "drill" is suppsoed to be an energy cannon or something along those lines, I dunno...but I definitely prefer the Quantron design in that respect.

Lots of pros and cons on both sides, which is why I kept going back and forth on which I wanted more. With the $250 black friday sale, I couldn't resist, so I'm getting both for now.

Thanks for the tip, I was able to confirm I have the pre-fix parts and need the replacements. TFSource has a support ticket set up, so we'll see how it goes from there. I don't expect any problems, this is my first ever order with them but they are well-established.

I got mine today but the driller's leg broke off easily. Hoping tfsource can help me with it. This is my first mt figure anything actually broke off.

Got mine today and I'm glad I didn't pay more than $250 for it. What a teeny tiny clunky POS. I've had things tab together better on KO figures. After this fiasco, I won't be buying any more MT figures unless they go even cheaper. Out of the 56 combiners I own, this guy doesn't rank very high.

I've not had the chance to keep up with this, but is there any difference between the individual releases and the box set?
