My TRU has the Shield 3 pack on sale for $21 today when I was there so I picked one up. I'm going to use Coulson's body to go with Matt's head if I ever get the Walgreens DD, Fury's body for the Red Skull head that will be coming with the Classic Cap figure next year, and I'm not sure what I want to do with Maria's body right now.
Dang, only $21? Was it marked on the shelf at all? I checked my TRU yesterday and the shelf tag still said $29.99. I have $20 in TRU Rewards right now, so I'd be all over this set if I only have to pay $1.00.
Amazon has the Avengers 4 Pack on sale for $47.99. Don't know if anyone has mentioned it but I was definitely all over that deal.
$29? My TRUs still have them at $49. At least it's down from the $50+ they raised the price to a week after they came out.
I have two TRU stores near me and they both have those sets marked down to $29.99. Also the fact that each of those stores is sitting on at least twenty of those sets is probably a good reason why they're marked down.
Be sure to check the tops of the aisles. I just saw, like, 7 Daredevils at a Walgreens today on the other side of the store from the regular toy aisle.
Um... so I bought the Walgreens DD and uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... the neck peg on Coulson's body is too small. How are people putting the head on it?
If you didn't open it, just return it and rebuy it. If you opened, just buy another one and return it on the old receipt. I don't think they will retroactively apply the $5 coupon to an old purchase though -- YMMV on that. Most Walgreens managers and employees in my experience are EXTREMELY unfriendly and won't go out of their way to do anything outside of the bare minimum. I'd just go in and ask but I've got a feeling they will shut you down.
Noooooooo!!! I THINK I may have bought my FIRST bootleg! Quite something ago a local import shop in my country was closing down and I saw it and bought it! On hindsight, I should have been careful because that shop was infamous for bootlegs! Oh well! LOL! I had the same idea too but I wanted to use it for the Hammer head that came with the ML chameleon. I think some minor mod work must be done...if the neck peg is too small, maybe adding putty to make it bigger might work but I don't want to do it as I only got one Cousen and Hammerhead is a B-grade Spidey villain to me.
From what I've heard in the Civil War movie Giant Man will make his first appearance there and if that's the case I hope we can get a BAF mold of him in any future Civil War ML waves.
I was at Walgreens last night and saw a bunch of Yellow DD's. Now that I know about the coupon, I should go back and get it.
I checked the "find it at a store" feature on the Walgreen's website and it showed that every store near me had 10+ Daredevil figures in stock, so they must have all gotten the shippers in now. I'm planning on stopping later this week to pick one up.
