Hey, if you don't ask, you will never receive. And if the answer is "no", then I'm no worse off for asking it.

    I don't buy KOs. I think they're a waste of time.

But this is an exceptionally done knock-off. I have 2 takara mp10s and i have never been fully happy with them. You can feel that there're too many shortcuts and cost cutting techniques implemented in these official toys that they've never truly reached their masterpiece potential (I mean, can i at least get blue paint on the tiny eyes and yellow paint on those tiny roof lights for my $200?).

This MPP10 thing is a masterpiece. I never thought a would say that to a fake product, but you can't help but feel that there is love given to this toy. The additional paint apps and over-all retooling and adjustments made this awesome mold so much more special. Joints are tight, paint is cleanly applied, plastic quality is good, build quality is at par with the official release. I gave one to my 10 year old and he's been transforming it back and forth without problems. And oh, it's taller and wider than mp01, which will WOW you if you ever get one. I love Hot Toys and a loyal supporter of their products as well but if you're thinking of getting a tall G1 prime, you might save 50% of your money if you get two of this instead.

My support for Takara and Hasbro is still 100% and will not stop buying multiples of their masterpiece line but this thing is $60, i don't think i can resist that treat and i'm so glad i didn't. I bought 5 of these before prices explode and before the possibility of subsequent re-releases getting shortcuts and cost cutting techniques implemented in these things due to corporate greed taking over.

What a strange world to be in to be getting a KO that's bigger and better than the official product that's 3rd of the price. Wow. HasTak must take note.

It's not strange at all. The manufacturing process is very costly, what with the constant re-tooling required to take a toy from CAD to the retail shelves. Project deadlines being what they are, Takara invested tremendous amounts of money (5 figure values I'm guessing) to get MP-10 to us. The, several years later, a KO company takes that refined product, uses it as a base and incorporates a few years' work of "lessons learned" from MP-10. It's much easier to reverse engineer something and tweak it than to create something from scratch.

I can't wait to get this MPP-10. I wish the MP line hadn't shrunk down: I love this scale!

    Now, back to Megatron... ;)

You know, i really liked the new MP scale... until i got this mpp10. Suddenly, i was imagining how glorious the other MPs would be if they are in this large scale too. Wow. I'll keep dreaming. For now.

Well, in a sense this dream has been partially realised with this guy. If they upscaled Apollyon and some of the other guys then that would be cool though.

Where did you find it for $60? Can you post the link?

I think the MP line should have been this scale to begin with starting with the initial official release of MP-10 including a bigger sized MP08 Grimlock. Naturally, all the 3rd party MPs would follow the trend.

Not strange.. just hopefully eye-opening for you ;)  Somehow people think all 3P is the worst example they've seen.. instead of understanding all are not equal.

    WeiJiang makes some amazing kit.

Don't let shitty KOs cloud your future judgment. Just stay informed. We have a KO thread where if you have any questions about a product, come ask. Usually one of us knows. Usually.

If the MPP10 is proof of their quality, im definitely watching out for their other releases. Thanks! Speaking of kits, Can you imagine them recreating an Oversized Dual Model Kit for movie prime? Something bigger than 3As? Wow!

I actually have faith in 3rd party products. I buy some of them. But direct knock-offs, i stay away from. MPP10 changed my opinion drastically.

Specialty toys shops around here in Manila sells them for $60 last week. The prices are slowly rising though.

Apollyon at this size will blow my mind. The original one is an excellent figure. I will dream for a taller, better version. Dreams do come true so its a matter of time.

Good luck! I hope you get yours.

Well, it's not the DMK, but they are making an oversized Evasion Mode Optimus with massive improvements.

Many who collect MPs say it could easily pass as Masterpiece quality.
