All you have to do is look at the number of posts of people disappointed that RiD is ending to know that the show did appeal to adults as well as kids. It just didn't appeal to everyone, but then no Transformers series has.

I feel bad for those who were enjoying the show. Unfortunately I wasn't one of them, I just couldn't get into it after watching the first few episodes.

My feeling is that they swung too far from the overly-serious, near-humorless Prime to an overly juvenile Robots in Disguise. To get me watching again they need to find a bit more balance between the two. Like someone else pointed out, the current TMNT series has that balance and Transformers should look to that show for inspiration.

Transformers Animated needs to make a come back.
Why hasbro made the new RID after TFP i will never know. The show that needs a come back is TFA.

    Farewell RID, you were amusing.

I feel your pain but it will never happen because TFA's crew isn't available nor is Hasbro going to collaborate with Cartoon Network's in house studios again, RID was made by Hasbro studios despite airing on CN.

Well in Prime he was treated (and acted) like a child, but only up until he got his voice back, then suddenly....Boom! Bee is like a completely different character to what he was before.

It's almost like Hasbro had him change to suit their 'Bumblebee Focus' so that he could take the limelight from Smokescreen who was far better (and had been hinted at being a possible Prime).

Also, I thought RID only has 42 episodes altogether (since S1 had 26 and S 2 will have 16).

So why does the new information say 78? (or is this just old news).

I loved Transformers Animated, but it's been so long now I just don't think there is a way to bring it back in a way that would live up to the previous seasons. The team would be too hard to re-assemble.

So what I'd like is if the next team on the next show would go okay what's great about other shows and how can we work that goodness into our new cartoon. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if they were also willing to grab up a few characters from other than just G1 so we could get Lugnut and Blitzwing back together even if wasn't in the Animated style.

Nobody was doubting your claim that Hasbro was selling 45 episodes.

What is terrible journalsm is that you say it's the final season confirmed without a single detail ever mentioned about that in the document and the claim that the next show is a Bayformers prequel, again, without any solid statement, at best you use as source a IGN article that TFW claims simply removed the totally true statement that nobody else saw.

I kinda hope RID15 lasts longer I mean just cause its season two has 16 episodes plus a 'movie' that's actually 3 episodes I am willing to bet that they might have a season three somewhere and they are just waiting for the right time to announce it say at the end of the second season. :2c:

What will convince me is if a member of the RID production team or Hasbro Studios flat out says that the second season is the last one.

I still recall someone freaking out that a production site for Rescue Bots only listed enough episodes for 3 seasons, but a fourth season was later announced.

Agreed. Love or hate the movies, no one can deny that they didn't give a boost for HasTak as far as money and brand popularity are concerned. A lot of the various toy lines that we've been enjoying as of late (to include Masterpiece, Combiner Wars, and even third party offerings) have benefited (either directly or indirectly) from the influx of capital and new fans to the franchise thanks to the live action films.

There are Hasbro employees whose entire job is relaying announcements and news. It is an industry called Public Relations, abbreviated PR. It exists so that members of the production team or Hasbro Studios can continue with their work, and not spend time explaining things.
This piece of news comes from one such person - a person whose job is to relay Transformers news. Nor is this announcement from a low level employee who is unaware of Hasbro's plans.

I doubt you can be convinced. However, for your own safety, please don't hold your breath.

While it isn't looking good, point of contention that this is a sales document, not a pr statement, and there are plenty of times where pr and sales are not aligned.

Again, not looking good, but this is not a direct statement that this is end of series.

Personally, I don't care at all about TF tv shows, movies, etc. I only care about TF toys themselves. Robots in disguise had a very few good interesting designs compare to the last two shows, However these few designs are spectacular. I hope Hasbro/Takara will make toy versions of Filch, Chop Chop and Scowl. Especially Flich I adore her, She has the right balance between a robotic look to human female proportions.

I am open to the idea that the show may have been cancelled, however I remain unconvinced that an episode count alone is sufficient proof. I don't get why people are ruling out the idea that the episode count is intentionally only counting seasons 1 and 2 because Hasbro Studios may not be certain how many episodes they're going to make for season 3. The insistence that the episode count definitely means the show is cancelled perplexes me.

I was under the impression that this question was asked and answered in the Google Hangout session that the Hasbro Transformers Design Team held with fans, which included representatives from various fan sites and boards - big dawgs like tfw2005, bwtf, and seibertron.

Double checking the report, I see that I confused another seemingly endangered thing of concern to Transformers fans - Botcon. Botcon's rumored impending demise is not as impending as was speculated. They did not comment on RiD.
    I was wrong. Sorry.

It occurs to me now to ask if we may simply be facing a rebranding of RiD. The end of Prime was announced or deduced (I forget which) long before RiD was announced and we discovered that this series tied into the continuity of Prime.
Is it possible the continuity will be kept, while a new title, art style, or general tone is given to the series?

So, it ends early huh? A pity, I was enjoying it quite a lot. Seems kind of pointless to see the return of Transformers Prime characters when the next season won't last long, but I hope we get to see the rest of the 13 in cartoon format, at least give me my Liege Maximo story that I've wanted to see since forever! XD

So the next cartoon will be set in the Movieverse:
    1. Will there be any point of this series at all if Bay contradicts it in his next billion films?
    2. Get John Barber or someone like him to handle the continuity because he did an awesome job with the comics.
    3. Why? Just why? I understand they want to make a cartoon based of their most successful Transformers subline but, think about this for a moment: Bayverse Transformers in cartoon format. Unless it's going to be similar in design like Transformers Prime, the characters are going to be just as ugly as they are in the films. Are we going to get character designs that are just as ugly as the ones in Beast Machines? And I say that as someone who thought Beast Machines was underrated genius. XD
