Don't worry, that pic is distorted. You can tell by the Autobot symbol to the right

I'm excited for this figure, if this slide is real. Metroplex makes a great play space for the various figures. I agree this looks like the limited release convention version of the figure. I imagine the standard release will lack the giant sword and have a less premium paint scheme. I can see this being an early mockup. Perhaps it still has treads, but they are detachable and not called out in this slide. Maybe treads and a more IDW inspired paint scheme are only for a retail release at a lower price point. Plenty of questions are created by this slide. I would lean towards the more G1 Toy/Sunbow/Japanese look if there is significant differences between the convention and retail releases. I would be perfectly fine with more IDW inspiration. If the third mode is more H-Tank mobile battle station, or if Cerebros transforms into an H-Tank I am not wedded to G1 accuracy for my classics collection.

As for the crappy slide, that is not unusual for internal corporate information. I have certainly seen worse, especially in meetings containing executives. The slide appears to be more informational than persuasive, as if to let an executive know what is up with future plans rather than a piece intended to convince internal or external customers to buy in. Of course this slide can still be a fake. It doesn't feel like a fake to me, but I would not be surprised to be wrong on that front.

That looks to me like battle station mode. I wonder(if the figure has it) there will be a proper city mode. Looks really good.

The vintage Fort Max is one of a handful of G1 figures I'm still using in my classics collection display, it'll be somewhat bittersweet to replace him with the modern figure - so many fun play features on the old guy! He was and still is a favorite with my nephews whenever they come by and visit!

The other G1 figures still in the mix - Sky Lynx (due to be replaced soon by the CW version), Trypticon, Venom and Kickback - we're still waiting for a Legends version Hasbro!

Here's a quick fix of the stretched image I did on my phone. Just to have an idea of the proportions. [IMG]

As someone who is never impressed with base modes.... I'm not impressed with the base mode? Since when have any base modes been good!? Lol. It's fine. Lives up to my standard of base modes.

    Base modes!

I'm thinking that alt-mode pic is mistransformed. You could easily have buildings from the lower leg which could open up for little rooms. That's way to good of an opportunity to miss.

I would be plenty happy if Cerebros turned into a tank. But I think he's going to be small enough that it's probably unrealistic to expect him to turn into anything but a head. I mean clearly, because of the proportions, this is going to be a much smaller head than G1 Fort Max, even though the figure itself will be slightly taller.

What I think is more likely, based on the treads we see in the previously-shown line art, is that giant Fort Max will also have some kind of tank mode. Which I am perfectly fine with, as long as it's in addition to his G1-esque alt modes rather than replacing them. Or maybe his traditional spaceship mode will now have tank treads under it. I'd be cool with that.

They are trying to give vehicles modes to the Phone-icons and they're Legends. A Deluxe Cerebros has a decent chance of having a vehicle mode and will be big enough to have it look slightly less terrible than the Legends' vehicle forms.

But it's not just one guy, and some have toted it about as absolute fact.

No, G1 fans vs. IDW zealots.

But not to the funhouse mirror extant as the IDW design.

Yeah, but I'm saying Cerebros already has a mode: a head. Look at Generations Metroplex and how small his head is. Max's head looks proportionally larger and blockier, but it's still going to be a lot smaller than the Original G1 Max head. What are the chances Hasbro/Takara are going to engineer something that can't be much larger than a Legends class (if that) into a triple-changer?

What's the difference between a fanatic and a zealot? Cause as far as I'm aware they're synonymous with each other.

To be honest, I've never met someone that has defended IDW to the extent that you think they do. Split lip, a huge fan of IDW, has been critical of their offerings when he thought they stunk. That's not the staple of a zealot.

We're all fanatics. All of us. This isn't tumblr there isn't any blind faith here. Please, please stop trying to push that narrative.
