I have to assume that a lot of folks have stopped. Getting recruits for my league has been especially hard. My minimums are among the most modest I've seen (at least, among those I see advertising in chat, which tend to really be for the top-of-the-top), yet anyone new I CAN find (which is hard in itself. Even when I drop the password requirement, it takes a while to get folks to wander in. Few respond to my requests.) doesn't play hardly at all (and quite a few, NOT at all) so I end up kicking them.

Over 30 fights (bot fights no less) with 2 primes present over the past couple days have yielded 0 prime cores. I still need 5 more to build him and I'm really doubting I'm going to get them. Yea, those 5 are over the 5 I'll get from the next event. Emailed Dena and was told "oh well, keep trying". Gotta love it!

    Ok, done venting now.

Okay, I got top 400 this last episode. I was at 392 with a few minutes left. Cyclonus looks cool. Team did right around 300.

If anyone is looking for a good top 200 league, please PM me or Line me at octibon. We really prefer that you would use the Line app for communication because we have four leagues and we swap members between leagues to alleviate the ups and downs players have from week to week. Our original league has won all events since Superion and our others leagues have won almost all events since they were created (each one only lost once during their first events). Keep in mind, we take care of ALL our leagues and we will do everything to make sure all teams win (so far have been very successful at that).

Our Line league chat is fun and not totally hardcore about battle tactics. It makes playing the game less repetitive and grinding when you have a team spirit and casual communication. Typical requirements are about 300K per PVP event (I know gold is running a bit thin these days). We have strong players and we rarely have to kick members because they are self accountable and take breaks when they cannot contribute much. If you want to be consistently on the winning side and this sounds interesting to you, contact me with your previous event stats.

Finding a top 200 league and these mini events are the only reason I can compete. Preceptor g1, Optimus m CW, megatrron transmetal, and blackarachnia are my current lineup. And yeah, the current daily campaign bots are only used in the daily campaign now but definitely helped me get the new bots. I used the blaster bots until I got all the new ones with 160 hp. I was able to do EH on the last SH with these easily and most of the runs never lost a single bot.

How do you find the good leagues? I am in one where I am the top point getter... And I shouldn't be that guy.

If you leave a league part way through an event, do your points go with you?

I'm still having difficulty, and despite opening a ticket about it my free energon still isn't working. I do need to try downloading the app on this computer and see if that makes it work on my phone as someone suggested. (This week's just been busy.)

My lineup was Jetfire II, Brainstorm, Vortex and often either Blitzwing or Blast Off until recently. Finally got Dion a few weeks ago and got Carzap maybe 2 days ago. So now I use those 2, but am still pretty much out of luck when I get faced with 2 Arcees or 2 Optimus Primes with a bunch of other heavy hitters.
I like Stronghold events because I can actually stand a chance there, and see improvements. My first SH I barely made it past the Hard- the 2nd time I had had a much easier time of it. Still haven't made it on EH yet, even past the first screen.

I do think fewer people are playing, because my standing in the events is getting better- I even got Highbrow as a reward during a recent event. So that was nice. The events add variety and I like going for the really cheap space bridge offers at 50 gold just to try to get something halfway decent at the beginning of each event, but fighting the event bots is way out of my league usually. And never having enough energon doesn't help. That really should be a freebie.. constantly struggling for the basic thing that allows you to play the game takes the fun out fast.

That's right, thenatureboywoo... there has been a steady decline in the number of players - most recently due to DeNA changing how gold is rewarded in Extra Hard Stronghold (where most free-to-play folks grind for their gold). I still can't believe I currently rank 117 solo with just 56K EP. As much as I like things easy, I worry that the continued lack of competition may signal the end is near :cry

And yes, the mini-events are supposed to help newer players get Epic bots faster and make things more competitive.

    I think I see a potential match here :D

And yes, jourdo... if you switch or move to a new league, your event points (EP) go with you into the new league.

Glad to hear you're both making headway :)

AHound, I find setting an alarm every 1.5 hours (to remind me I have 3 energon to burn again) helps me maximize my free energon.

Here's one more tip: The Event Drop Tokens (prize for the current 1-day mini event) can be banked over time. So if you don't want to use them, they will carry over to the next event. I've currently saved 12 of them so far - and it seems the only risk is that DeNA changes the game mechanics and I forfeit them.

Sorry to hear about your poor luck, heraldofunicron.

From experience, this core farming strategy works well for me and my league during mini-events:

    • Always do 3-cube battles
    • If your target bot (OPrime Armada, in this current event) is present in a bot team, then do a bot fight.
    • If the target bot is present in more than 1 bot team, choose the team where the other bots don't drop cores
    • If the target bot isn't present in a bot team, go PvP and hope you get matched against a bot team featuring him :)

The 3rd bullet is the key here - since most people already know the rest. Basically, your target bot will more likely drop cores if he is the only core-dropping bot in the line up. So if there are 2 bot teams:

    • Team A = Slipstream + 2 OPrime Armadas + Brainstorm
    • Team B = OPrime Armada + 2 Arcees + Lord StarScream

Its tempting to choose Team A as its an easier fight. But I'd rather fight Team B (to get OPrime Armada cores) since there is a good chance I get Slipstream or Brainstorm cores if I fight Team A :D

Yep, I've tried all that. Over 50 fights now (no joke) with 2x prime in each fight and 0 cores to show for it. I even spent gold and have been slacking on PVP fights trying to get the bastards. But I got a response from Dena saying that the drop rate is working fine. So it's all good!

Next event is G2 Devastor...meh...didn't they already do a recolor event? Seem to recall hearing complaints, but can't recall the actual event...

Aaah yeah, that was it. I'm not really complaining about the recolors, for once. Never got any of the elites from the original Devy event, so these are new for me. Same with the G2 dinobots event, missed out on getting the original G1 event elites, so the bots were recolors, but still new for me.

For those moderate-level players struggling to find a league that isn't for elite super-strong folks only, consider joining Blackrock Industries.

For the PVC event, these are the minimums you'd be expected to reach:
At least 10,000 points by end of first full day.
At least 75,000 points by end of third full day.
At least 200,000 points by end of event.

We have a solid top-5 which means that, while I can't guarantee top 200 status, we usually get pretty close, and this gives moderate-level players a chance to enjoy some rewards. Just keep playing, and the minimums should by no means be prohibitive.

    Please PM me if interested.

Are you having other bots drop cores? The drop rates are bad but I seem to be getting more recently than ever before.

I always take out the bot I want the core from first. Its very hard but you either have to get a perfect hit or a really overpower kill. It seems if they don't drop it the first round it's harder to get any

Now the real question becomes: do I recruit Bruticus?

There is a giveaway promo for a Devastator toy or Devastator in-game. Its one of the banners on the right side of the homepage. You need to give your Account or Player ID to join + your email address but it appears its only open to North American players (sorry but haven't read the full mechanics).
