Thanks to everyone for the helpful hints and tips in this thread. I managed to click the mirrors into the place and transform the feet/lower legs properly. He does stand slightly taller than the carbots now but only slightly. Still don't understand the head and how I'm supposed to click it in. It sits ok but can be pushed back easily. Not sure if that's right.

Edit: Clicked the head in. Don't think that's meant to be part of the transformation. Going to leave it in the original position.

^Only because they are too afraid to order from overseas sellers, foolishly thinking buying from local US-based TRU shops will be cheaper?! When will they EVER learn that it's not the case?! :lol

I don't know what the head clicking in means either. Nor do I understand what people are saying about the head floating. Mine rests on the top of his body/chest where I believe it should. No floating involved.

I think they're saying that they click the base through where it supposed to rest. It's not a solution. The head doesn't tilt back any longer but it faces downwards. It was also super scary snapping it back out to the normal position. I won't be doing that again.

Head snapping in.... heh this sounds like the Datsun fiasco where people were forcing the head up through the hood... always made me flinch seeing that.

Fiddled around with it yesterday and it is a nice figure, but overall I do feel like it's one of the weaker MPs. Not that it's bad, just nothing special. Something just doesn't quite do it for me, he almost feels a little fiddly. Not like Rodimus-level "I might break it by looking at it" fiddly. I think it's the way the "backpack" is set it. I have mine all properly transformed and it still seems a little high.

I do love the little Blaster accessory though :lol

Good I'm glad you are getting it taken care of, I hope mine doesn't suffer from the same issue.

    Arrived this morning from AE.

First impression... Car mode looks great! Still wish he had tinted windows but I can live with it.

Once everything is pegged in correctly the bot mode is as rigid as hell. The head is little annoying but I think it sits better when it's pulled up past the clicking point. I'll take a floating head over no-neck in this instance and it also gives him some extra height.

Christ though, I really had to pry apart his legs. Used a small screwdriver very carefully so as not to damage the paint but at one point I almost gave up. Hopefully it won't seem as tight next time when I transform him back.

Anyway, he looks good. He adds colour to the Autobot ranks and he looks like Tracks. Not my favourite car bot so far but I'd maybe rank him above Wheeljack due to that mould's lack of paint.

Now roll on the van bros!

PS. "rigid", "the head is a little annoying", "pry apart his legs". I swear I'm not looking for any "that's what she said" responses but bloody hell. Trust Tracks to turn this breif review into a Carry On film!

Got mine yesterday. I really like him. The legs on mine were hard to pull apart as well. He looks great and the color is great. Only gripe I have is how his shoulders get interfered with because of the wings. You can't move the shoulders without hitting the wings. Unless I've mistransformed him.

When I first tried to transform Tracks, the peg at the front of the car was locked in so tight I thought it would break. Bit of mold flash removal later and it is alright now.

The transformation is pretty great, both modes look stunning and it is nicely sized. The only complaint I have is that the plastic is really thin which makes it feel rather cheap.

The thing is, though, it's supposed to be high. Both the G1 toy and cartoon model had it so it was recreated on the MP. It's as much a part of G1 Tracks as Optimus' shoulder smokestacks. I have seen some guys sit it a bit lower, though. Looks like they angled it back.

Nah, I'm sure you're doing it right. Just a design "flaw." I'm ok with it since it's all adjustable and I can still get the poses I want out of him, but I understand why it's a bother for some.

Yeah, it's not a deal breaker. I'll get accustomed to it. I still like him.

The mod seems quite aggressively done there in that neatness of the curved cut doesn't seem to have been a consideration, but I cannot deny that it looks better so much closer to the body. I retweeted that, felt it was worth sharing for sure.

    All the best

I find that with everything in the right place, which means the shoulders pushed up, and the backpack clipped in and positioned horizontally (I usually reach in behind the head and press the blue and gray joint to straighten it), you can then angle the wings back a little, and the shoulders are totally free to move. Still looks fear from the front.

Edit: upon closer inspection, it looks like this does push the shoulders a bit forward when his arms are up, though it's hardly noticeable.
