Now that the event is over, I've kicked a group of non-supporting players out of Blackrock Industries, and thus we have several openings. Here are the rules:

Everyone must reach these minimums for regular PVP-style events:
    • At least 10,000 points by end of first full day.
    • At least 75,000 points by end of third full day.
    • At least 200,000 points by end of event.

For mini-events (most parts are two days), there is a modified schedule that emphasizes to get in quickly and keep playing.
    • At least 20,000 points by end of first full day.
    • At least 50,000 points by end of mini-event (2nd full day).

Stronghold minimums will be as follows:
    • At least 10,000 points by end of first full day.
    • At least 100,000 points by end of third full day.
    • At least 250,000 points by end of event.

These minimums may seem high to novice players, but anyone with a moderately decent set of characters can achieve these minimums fairly easily without spending gold, so long as they simply play often enough to use most of their free energon.

Need to fill four slots at present. The six who remain are excellent players, and with some strong lower-players, we stand an excellent chance of breaking into top 200. Please PM me if interested.

Next event will start tomorrow! It's an Armada mini-event.

You do mean your league, right wolfx? Sorry to hear you were so close.

I'm in the same boat for but Perceptor GEN - as I finished the event with just 45 cores (out of the 50 required to build him).

    I hear ya, SA173533!

Given they've nerfed Stronghold rewards, seems mini-events are now my favorite TFBT event type. You can play with free energon or minimal gold expenditure to get decent Epic bots. If you're in a Top 500 league, you can get 35 out of the 50 cores required for the event bot so you just need to farm 15 more. What's not to like!?

    Ebay:
Completed Extra Hard at least a dozen times (lost count after that), and not once did I get the 500 gold. What was the drop rate for that? I got 5 gold a lot, and 50 gold few times.

I used 370 gold at the Armada special, and got lots of items. Only got 5 Cyclonus Armada cores, which were cool.

Since DeNA will never post the odds, the range agreed upon by the majority of players who tracked the SH gold drops is 1% to 5% chance to get 500 gold.

The most I've heard someone win 500 gold is 3x although it appears a majority of the players did not win 500 gold even once.

I guess the Space Bridge is working as usual then Sa173533.

Now is it just me or does anyone else find the current min-event reward and event bots disappointing? Did a quick comparison and the bots from the Blaster and TM2 mini-events just seem better (e.g., higher HP, more useful abilities, etc.).

Don't get me wrong... I'm still playing... just not with the same enthusiasm ;)

Cyclonus seems to be the most interesting of the bunch. Hard to like any of them though when the last mini had 160 hp bots.

With 2 bad events in a row it's getting hard to want to play this game anymore. I am really hoping they are working on fixing this game and introduce some positive changes soon

Well the variable gold from the stronghold, was really upsetting best run I got was 100 gold.... that was it. Wasn't able to farm anything like I normally do on stronghold... and the Snarl cores were a pretty big piss off

I stopped playing the game during the G2 Dinobots stronghold - tired of the game, tired of grinding, tired of wasting time.
Two days ago, I logged back in to put the last nail in the coffin = spending my remaining gold. I went ahead with the bridges and, again, got useless crap. Not a single character core. So it's the same old shit like before, just a money trap. Anybody not knowing, during the first Cybertron stronghold, I spent 3500+ gold to get TWO WfC OP cores (2 / 50 needed).
Uninstalling the game freed up almost a GB on my phone.

I like that you can grind towards a character for days or months and sometimes you'll just get them for free in an unrelated challenge reward.

That was a nice surprise. I haven't played in 3 months. I start playing on a work trip to Atlanta and get Onslaught. Now I'm looking good for Armada Blurr as well.

Lucky. Last Dion event where I saw Onslaught I fought him at least 3 times and never got a core drop- and all I need is one core to be able to finally recruit him. Argh.

Five live battles today, five losses. Four due to phantom targeting wiping a bot on round one, one due to Timed Out/Forfeited as I was winning. Really sick of this bullshit.

Very curious as to how newer players (people like Autobot Hound and Jaime01) are using the Epic bots from the mini-events as we've had at least 3 of these (e.g., FOC Blasters, Transmetal II and the current Armada). Interested to know what line ups you're using (and will use after this event) and want your thoughts on whether these mini-events have made the Daily Campaign Epics like Dion and Carzap less useful or not.

Basically want insight on how I'd play TFBT if I started playing around this time (given the game has changed so much since I started last March!) - without creating a 2nd account ;)

Are there not as many people playing as there used to be. I've been top 1000 the last two mini events. And this one I've been on the 500-700 range. Like I said before I took 3 months off and so some things have changed. And these mini event bots are way better than the monthly grind bots. Is dena throwing some of the non heavy hitters a bone with these Armada mini events?
