Clara and Kate are alive. We never see Kate die (it uses the same cutaway trick every not quite death uses in this series) and Zygon Clara saying that Clara is dead, well that sounds more like wanting to hurt the Doctor before killing him. Next Episode will feature the Doctor talking the evil Zygons into giving up and rejoining society.
We're past Rose. When was the last time she was brought up? Never mind. I forgot about Day of the Doctor. You're right.
I'm sure we'll see captain harness and rose in some episodes i'm sure. I know in audio books there going to have David tennent and donna.
Good to know. I'm still hoping he stays until another showrunner takes over and gives him consistent and unique characterization and dialog.
I just read that when clara leaves the show she'll wont be coming back in any form. i think thats sad that they wont do like they did with donna or rose or sarah jane
Just watched last weekend's episode. What a load of tedious toss. I find military stuff boring anyway (and poorly acted here too) so UNIT has always been a yawn for me. I couldn't give a crap if any of them lived or died. And those who turned out to be impostors were kinda obvious so not even any decent reveal value there. The whole episode was just people traveling from one place to the next to do... something not very interesting. It's already boring so, hey, why not split everyone up so they can be boring in their own scenes too and we can drag this out even more? Seriously, this really needed to be a two-parter? My heart sank when it said 'To be continued'. Continuation of this particular story is the last thing I need. Will the Doctor be blown out of the sky and die? Yeah, of course he will. Threats to the Doctor's life just don't hold any weight anymore, and yet the writers keep trying to make viewers think it might actually happen by making it another damn cliffhanger. Was there a valid reason the Doctor was even using the plane? The Tardis got a flat tire or something? And I can't take any alien threat seriously when they all look like giant snarling peniseseses. Oh no - attack of the Cock People. How sad as this current series had been pretty decent so far.
That was a decent ending, if you want more Kate and Osgood, Big Finish has them fighting the Nestene on Monday 1. UNIT - Extinction - UNIT - The New Series - Big Finish They are also having a Zygon sale Series 9 Saturdays ? Doctor Who and the Zygons - News - Big Finish
Watched tonights episode. Peter Capaldi has replaced Christopher Eccleston. As my favorite Doctor since the shows revival.
I've been enjoying him since last season, but that speech really sold me on him being probably my favorite.
I am really, really tired of the Doctor always acting as if humans are in the wrong. He got mad when Kate killed the 2 Zygons about to kill him. He got mad that the humans thought of bombing the Zygons. He called the humans "scary monsters." Never mind the fact that the Zygons invaded and tried to conquer Earth, and were allowed to live there, in peace, after the peace treaty in Day of the Doctor. Never mind that it was Zygons that broke the peace treaty. Never mind that there were far more humans killed in these two episodes than there were Zygons, for which there will apparently not be any justice, since the commander of the rogue Zygons now seems to be working with UNIT, with the Doctor's approval. What the heck?! If it was a human, or group of humans that had turned on the Zygons, he would have gone all self-righteous on them and demanded justice, instead of speaking to them as if they were heroes for giving up on their murderous plans. I'm shocked he actually said "thank you" to Kate. I like the Doctor. But I'm really getting tired of this attitude lately.
He also said this was the 15th time he's had to go through this, he just keeps erasing their memories. So we don't know how Kate reacted the previous time.
Another really good ending to a two-parter. Capaldi and Coleman were both fantastic - Coleman's turn as Bonnie was especially effective. Really loved the climax with the Doctor desperately trying to get both sides to calm down. This season is honestly turning out to be one of the best ones yet, possibly even better than season 5, which is not something I'd say lightly. Also: "Five rounds rapid."
