IF your dad is still around, you should send him a picture of you playing with MP Tracks, and flipping him off.

Hey man , we all have issues. I'm feel saddened by your loss :(  Live life and enjoy it to its fullest, you only get this chance once. Don't worry about the past and just look forward. The only loss I see is your father's not yours!

I've already lost my mother to cancer and my father literally walked out after being in a physically and verbally abusive relationship with my mother when I was six. Never seen him since that day! This does not stop life or me living it to it's fullest.

Thanks guys! And just to clarify, I'm absolutely not damaged by my relationship with my father. My life is fulfilled. I am happily married, financialy and emotionally stable. The story was just to let you guys in on my obsession and love for this character. Those that have not posted in this thread often I just want you to know, MANY MANY members here on the thread have asked me to share my story. I did not randomly post this story for attention to myself.
Again thank you for ALL the kind words (here in the thread and in PMs)

Btw I have not put this figure down all evening. Like I said before...exceeded my expectations. I couldn't be happier! Keep the pictures coming! Let's celebrate this release!

As they say, it takes a real man to share his feelings. This is one of the best things I've read around these parts, and it's so awesome that one particular character also managed to give you strength back in the day. :)

Hmm how ironic..guys like you, Sixo, Tcracker among others seems to be enjoying having this figure in-hand.

I saw an earlier posting by Onnsake..he seems to disliked Tracks. Saying things like yuuck & it's a mess like MP-09. That's kinda weird..

No need to be scared, it's just one guy opinion at the moment thus far. One's mileage in handling this figure might vary from one person to another.

I think the figure is FANTASTIC. Charater...I'm biased but as far as an MP figure....one of the best! Comparing it to MP09 is laughable!

But everyone has their OWN opinion. Judge the figure for yourself.

Wow, Mrmwforce, you had me tearing up reading your story. I think it's so awesome how everyone on this thread is so supportive of your Tracks journey. Your passion was the glue that binds this thread. Now let's bring on Skids!

I did have that same feeling when they announced MP-12, G1 Sideswipe was my first ever G1 toy and the love for the red lambo never went away...I got him when i walked a 4 nights run of 10 km each...

Yes, it's one guys opinion but the thing about onnsake is, I like all his posts because he tells it like it is. There's never any sugar coating or playing nice or bias. Onnsake is grumpy but truthful. So.....:(

Yeah, with the dollar the way it is now, its definitely worth looking into non-American options. When our money's on par, I've normally gone with BBTS for non-local stuff especially since they tend to be the best for international shipping, but if I end up lying to myself about being able to afford these kind of figures again, I'm definitely shopping around.

    Thank you! I appreciate that!

Well, I got him back and forth a few more times and he's still frustrating. It's not nearly as bad in execution as MP 09 but it's the same type of issues...very little clearance for moving parts...super thin plastic pieces that need to be pegged in to places that don't really fit as obviously as they should.

In robot mode he's stiff as hell cause of the arrangement of the backpack, wings and arms. Sure, you can move him, but it'll come undone and be misaligned and look like garbage. I thought he looked OK once I had him standing straight and neutral but any kind of posing throws the alignment off.

The wings are thin and brittle and I can see these things snapping easily. The shoulder joints are a mess and there's no real good configuration for them. The legs have a surprising lack of range of motion and the ankle is really difficult to get into a natural standing position. From the front he looks fine, but his "gappiness" and hollow body is more apparent than on any other MPs if you look from any angle other than the front.

In car mode, things don't peg in well. The roof/windhield chest piece just kinds of sits there and doesn't peg in to anything, and the gaps are obvious. The fragile wings on the undercarriage are super obvious. The opening hood feature leaves very large gaps in the seams that are hard to ignore. There are steps in the transformation that seem superfluous and overly complicated for the sake of being complicated, like MP 09.

And mine has one wheel that won't touch the ground, just like MP 09.

Also the mirrors were super loose, so I glued them in.

On the plus side, the paint on mine seems absolutely flawless, so it has that going for it.

Cheers for the truthful, if not disheartening review.
