i wish they had just left the shoulders blank.. hopefully it's red paint on white plastic.

from these photos, the head looks like a bit of a whiff like ironhide's.. that's a shame. oh well. otherwise, it looks great.

 

KOs are reverse engineered, this won't affect them at all.

+1 for this, I don't put reprolabels on MPs, but Ocean Design dry transfer decals are amazing.

I think he looks as good as we could've expected knowing Ironhide. His chest autobot symbol looks too small thought now that it's not outlined in white. In the cartoon it was pretty big in both modes. It's pretty tiny here.

Are we NOT counting Hound, Jazz, Mirage, Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker, and all the missing Minibots? I mean we do have 3rd Parties of those but if that's what you're counting then the whole sentence is moot since there's already 3rd Party Ratchets out there.

I think he's talking about the scene in the movie where Prowl, Ironhide, Ratchet and Brawn head to Earth and get killed by the Decepticons.

 

I'm disappointed about the shoulders, even though we knew that there would be a change. It's amazing how much better the crotch looks without the diamond and I agree that Ratchet looks better than Ironhide. The accessories look awesome and at least we know that the vanettes can share.  

I will probably preorder through HLJ, just in case I need to cancel Ratchet because Ironhide has QC issues or I simply don't like him in hand. The chances of me canceling are very small though

I hope someone makes a Marvel head for him. (White face, red helmet, white crest). That will always be MY Ratchet.

Also, there's a possibility that those Autobot symbols are stickers that can just be removed.... They wouldn't advertise such a thing, but it's possible..

 

It doesn't look worse than mp ironhide plus why do you guys complain about that just expect an third party upgrade to fix it but there just nitpicks its not an mp-05 megatron

 

For some reason the hip panels don't bug me as much as they do on ratchet. Maybe they blend in better? The upper body still seems weird from the sides or in poses with his arms pulled away from the body.

 

I really like it. In fact, I REALLY like it.
I guess it's a sign about me finally and totally at peace with Ironhide's mold now. Good  
It looks good with the doc, and I'm glad, he's my Marvel's days favorite !

Well it was only a matter of time before we saw Ratchet,didn't think it would be straight after MP-29 though...I'm loving the rate Takara are cranking these MP's out at   Feels like I'm in a dream right now haha

 

Loving the new pace, and I hope it keeps up.

He looks very good. I like what they came up with for the cross, and hopefully they went as far as making the Autobot symbol come off or something along those lines. But if not, this will be one of the few times reprolabels will actually be needed for a new figure.

 

The headsculpt works much better for Ratchet than for Ironhide.
