Other than the facts these look simply amazing, that is the only reason I'm still on board as they are outside of my current collection goal. But I know TT Galvatron is inevitably going to happen sooner than later and these guys either won't happen at all officially or will be years away...and I know I'll buy TT Galvatron so I think these guys are kinda sneaking in by default.

Sometimes that goes through my head but I know it's the little boy in me talking that had to choose way back then.
This is the beauty of being an adult and having a job (and an understanding wife!)
Hell, I just spent $5000 on a custom wall unit for my theatre room with 2 big display cabinets either side for my MP's (and some originals).
I am now committed to buying every character up to and including the movie!
    It's a sickness........ ;)
But hey, I don't drink much, I don't smoke, do drugs or any of that B.S, so I could be wasting my money on worse things :)

Damn-it!!!!I was 100% positive I wasn't interested in this figure at all... but he actually looks great in that video review.
The vehicle mode doesn't really appeal (that's nothing to do with XTB's design, I just always thought it looked a bit too much like Luke's Landspeeder from Star Wars...LOL) but the bot mode looks really nice.
I really hate the pink fingers (yes I know they're toon accurate but they look so silly!!) but I suppose I can paint them - a nice dark purple to tie in with Cyclonus and Galvatron maybe...
Then I have to buy their Cyclonus figure as well...
Not really sold on DX9's Galvatron, so then there's XTB's figure ... although TT may well release Galvy next year for the movie anniversary, except it wasn't released in Japan till '89 so they may wait a few years...
I have XTB's Megatron and he looks gorgeous but is a loose floppy mess (mine won't even stand up properly thanks to such floppy ankles) so I've been really wary about this...but he looks so good!! And it looks like his joints are really nice and tight (even though this is just a test shot so may not be indicative of final quality...)
I think I'll have to add this to my tentative watch/buy list.

oh man, I think I may end up buying this... my wallet is sobbing in pain... have to wait for in hand reviews!!! HAVE TO WAIT!!!

You'll crack in a few weeks when everyone's pics appear. It's inevitable.

Yeah even with Takara seemingly upping their game Cyclonus and Scourge seem like outside bets anytime soon but you gotta think Galvatron must be soon.

The understanding and supportive wife is key! For me, I just never cared about this character and never wanted any toy version of it...until now. It's mainly not wanting to miss out on the amazing design work 539 put into it. That leg and foot transformation is sweet!

Yeah, I think I will crack...I've spent so much on Macross and Star wars recently, what's another $160 or so right? And with these three characters I don't even care what Takara does. If they can match or beat these designs it just means I'll double dip (only for Galvatron and Cyclonus dammit!) because I'm just not going to miss out on these designs for anything.

That's always been my attitude. While on one hand, I could turn into this social activist, using my time and money to volunteer my time at shelters, be green, eat vegan, chain myself to old growth trees... Sadly I've met a few of those people, and they are just as _____ed up, insecure, righteous as everyone else, they just hide it better through their 'good deeds'.

I see virtually no value in alcohol, drinking seldom (birthdays and Christmas), unlike my stoner friends (whom I respect) I don't need a freezer bag of weed to get through the week. A portion of my disposable income goes to collecting awesome action figures, and I'm fine with that. I enjoy this hobby, anyone that thinks its uncool can ____ themselves.

If I was ever going to buy a scourge.

    This is it.

However I have no interest in a scourge.

Forgot to show this in the review, but he has the plasma energy key in his chest (doesn't seem to be removable, at least not easily)

Overall it looks nice, but those thigh seams are rather unsightly.

    Need to buy, growing, growing...

When I was a kid, I had an older cousin that I disliked very much. He was fat and cruel, his friends were jerks, and whenever I was stuck playing with him (or had to spend the night because my parents didn't have a babysitter), it was torture... except he had some of the cooler toys that I was never able to find and Scourge was one of them. Just might have to cave and get this sucker. HasTak will never make something look this great.

PS: He's sooooooooooooooooooooooo fat right now... and I still look great.

I'll be awaiting for the first real review to break down QC, but this is definitely on the radar.

Maybe he means pre-release test shot review vs actual production sample?

I didn't notice his review until now.

Ugh! Looks too good! Would have been nice if they made those pieces that kept slipping out during the review with a twist to lock feature, but this thing seems solid.

I was going to be all over Galvatron and Cyclonus while skipping this figure, but it just seems too good to pass.

    These bots have me itching.
