I love how we've destroyed the entire topic using a false equivalency.

No, not a false equivalency. It was a straight up parody.

Ah, but you think those of us that were arguing weren't being sarcastic as well.

'Parody' seems to me a pretty self-regarding description for what amounts to dickish playground mockery.

I'm only waiting foir any of those who were calling out the author for all that was supposedly offensive and whatnot in the previous MTME is gonna admit their overreaction after the #46?

Because given how long a production cycle for a comic book takes, it wasn't written because of their outcry but was in production much earlier...

It was a wonderful spectacle to watch, especially in light of MTME #46. No better demonstration of a specific mindset could be made.

One issue with current comics is that social media is now very much a part of the writers' daily routines. And thus we now have a bigger window into their views and beliefs. If they mostly tweet about incidental or inoffensive stuff, okay, but a lot of them are parading their politics in front of everyone on their Twitters. This is why guys like Dan Slott and Mark Waid have had ridiculous temper tantrums on social media (Dan Slott blocked me on Twitter for criticizing what he did to Spidey in issue 700, lol). It absolutely shapes our perceptions of both the writers and their stories, and that's a double-edged sword.

Neither do I, to be honest. It's almost always a self-indulgent, egotist, trash bin. Even a public person needs a blog at most. *shrug*

Or not even that, depending on the person (see George R.R. Martin).
