    Hey, does anybody know how many characters they made in these kits? I love these things but don't see them on ebay very often.

    Which three do you have? If you could post a pic, that'd be great. Also I should be able to authenticate it for you.

    There were a number of Diaclone kits made. I believe there's a full list in Japanese here: 404 Not Found no pictures.

    In-terms of kits that "became Transformers" the three Dashers (Each with two box styles in Japan, and a further release by Revell) and the Countach LP500S Super Tuning Red and Police "Sunstreakers".

    I have also seen a "Skids" advertised by Nitto, the company that made the Kits in Japan but not sure if that was actually released or not.

    The two Countach kits were also scheduled to be released as part of the Transformers line as yellow Sunstreaker and Red alert respectively (same mould as Sunstreak, but advertised as Red Alert). These were also cancelled, though unsubstantiated rumours of an Australian release have been mentioned in the past. Jetfire and Roadbuster were a part of this cancelled roster.

    Here are two prototypes of the cancelled Transformers releases. In this instance they did not deco the Police Countach as Red Alert:

    Hi Ras,
    I did see one of the dasher kits previously in Japan but I didn't grab it. I have the Red Sunstreaker, Police Sunstreaker, and Scrapper. I've got the other ones in storage, but I'll share them when I can bust them out. Thanks for sharing all that info, that's great!!

    There were several Korean kits available too, Constructicons, blitzwing, Trainbots, Soundwave, to name a few.

    That explains my Scrapper! I guess I have some hunting to do, I'm going to have to get Blitzwing and the trainbots! The collecting never ends!!:lol

    BTW thanks again Ras, it's great to find new wish list items that you didn't know existed!! I'll keep you posted on my quest, and if anyone checks in that has any of the Korean kits for sale or trade please contact me.
