    Hmm yeah I can see what they were aiming for with those head details but the thing is they just look like paint details due to how thick and dark the lines are, whereas in the comics those head lines are simply how his helmet is broken up and segmented. So on a toy they'd need to be recessed molded detailing I would think, not actual paint aps. Kind of weird mmc thought they needed to do that. His helmet looked absolutely fine without them, if not much nicer.

    It seems its becoming increasingly common for them to add unnecessary last minute details like this that instead of enhancing a figures look seem to just make it look messy in whatever area such things are added. I wish they would realize when something was perfect and leave it alone.

    Still not a fan of the alt mode and the funky treads, but the bot mode looks great.

    Is it me or MMC has a hard time coming up with true mechanical detailing? I just see seas of ridges...

    Not a figure I need but that's a damn fine looking bot. If I had any nostalgia for Impactor, I'd be all over this.

    I rather like how he looks, but I'm hoping for a repaint that'll color him more like the Metal Slug tank he is modeled after, rather than a garish yellow and purple funmobile.

    Totally agree ---^ He's really neat looking and I'm sure will fill holes in the collections of those who head towards a more IDW inspired collection, but I really have no place for this guy. As a transforming toy he's neat, but a so-so alt mode and no real connection to G1 makes him a pass for me. Just way too much coming out in the next few months that makes picking and choosing more necessary.

    No conection to G1 toys or cartoon, but he apeared in Target 2006 comic tie in to Transformers:the movie. and I think the updated IDW design will fit perfectly with my planetx dinobots and others on my shelf
