Sorry to say this but I went from being resigned to buying this MP out of a sense of duty to the line and one of my all time favorite TF deigns...to being WAY more excited.

The new pictures look better to me for as-yet to be identified reasons.

I'm officially as excited about the new MP Rodimus as I am about Shockwave!

The photography is fantastic, but the torso of the bot seems weak to me. The alt mode is very G1. I'm gonna have to wait and see.

 

That's probably how you have to pose him to offset the weight of his ginormous backpack.

And while, yeah, I'm kinda trolling here, I'm also a bit serious. Love the character, love the alt mode, but still disappointed with the body/backpack aesthetic. I know it's a challenge to make him right, but it doesn't mean I have to love what they're giving us. For those who do like it, that's awesome, and I'm happy it works for you.

Also, I know repaints on this guy are limited, but I hope we get another black version - I'm one of those suckers for black repaints, and it will go well with all the other black Hot Rods and Rodimus Primes I have.

 

Ab crunch is always appreciated for one main reason "dynamic poses". You obviously don't pose your figures in these sort of way. Lol js

More like imagination runs wild lol. The complainers will end up buying this no matter how much they rants & rave about it. Just like Tigerblade mentioned in the past, it's a repetitive cycle on this forum.

Why would Hotrod have a matrix chamber?

 

Engineering-wise, it looks like it quite possibly might have taken a dip. If anything, they are quite different because Kobayashi is working on these new Masterpieces, not Hasui. That much is very clear, and you can see the more overcomplicated designs that Kobayashi presents as opposed to Hasui's much more simple designs that appear complex but aren't.

 

Maybe they're trying to recreate the scene in the movie where hotrod is on top of galvatron inside unicron

the simple transformation does not bother me. as he will probably be more sturdy then MP09 so it's fine
