I've been there wolfx so I can emphatize. Frequent disconnects are the reason I no longer do 15-cube battles and just stick to 3-cube battles.

Yes, unfortunately, rage quits can still happen. I'm probably seeing more than my fair share given I have Prowl on my team (+ 3 Epic bots). All I'm saying is my disconnects seem to occur more often when I'm winning against a live player with a team of 4 Epics

Not seen Prowl drop any cores in days. Got six off of battles on day one, none have dropped since. Same for Ironhide, got two day one, none since. Not happy!

So to "rage quit" they just need to shut off their phone connection or app mid battle? Shouldn't that mean its an automatic forfeit on their side since i'm obviously still connected to the server?

That's correct wolfx. You're supposed to still be rewarded with the victory + any rewards such as EP or dropped cores, while the rage quitter puts his team into repair with no rewards - but I've seen posts to the contrary.

This was supposed to have been fixed in the patch prior to the current version. Previously, rage quitters exit or shut down the TFBT app mid-game causing both players to automatically forfeit the match (including any energon, cores dropped, etc.).

In the end, there is no way you absolutely tell if your opponent rage quit or not.

I had someone quit on me yesterday. Strangest thing. Their team was WAY better than mine and they just blew up. I was happy to get the rewards.

I wonder if they are just trying to drop their PvP ranking for some reason.

Just for curiosity, I chose the Small Drop Pack at the Space Bridge. From my drops, I got:
    -2500 Cybercoins x2 (for a total of 5000 Cybercoins)
    -15 Energon
    -3 Power Tokens
    -20 Transmetal
    -40 Cybermetal

Those were pretty good drops, to be honest.

This has happened to me once so far... but several times in past events before they "fixed" PvP.

Forfeiting matches to drop PvP rank used to be quite rampant until the majority realized it wasn't a very sustainable strategy. Why? You're basically wasting energon and the difference in EP wasn't that significant.

Yes, you could theoretically do 1-cube battles, forfeit and drop rank, then switch to 3-cube battles when you're serious - but its not guaranteed you'll win even if you dropped rank, its no fun and you'll get a bad reputation.

In the end, maybe our opponents had poor WiFi or Internet connection that just gave out on them. Regardless, thanks for their contribution to our overall EP :D

    Thanks for sharing Sa173533.

I consider the energon as the most valuable prize from what you received - so I'm sticking to my original plan to skip this promo, which cater to newer players who may lack the basic resources, such as cybercoins, cybermetals & transmetals.

I don't think the PvP ranking matters anymore in terms of player matching. So far I've been pretty evenly matched with bot lineups that were 85% similar to mine, so I assume they base their matching on the bots you use for your lineup. I could be wrong though.

    My lineup now btw are:
    FOC Grimlock
    FOC Ullra Magnus
    FOC Sound Blaster
    CW Prowl

Btw got a reply from Dena support. Basically they are saying "sorry for the inconveniennce, we are aware of the disconnections blablabla, we are working on the issues blablabla....have a good day, blablablabla.

Not an unexpected reply since i didn't spend a single cent on this game and am not a whale i guess.

All I know is I'm only winning the bot matches. Against live players it's almost always a loss. Facing mainly teams of Arcee, with some combo of either double FoC Grimlocks, double FoC Magnus, or FoC Soundblaster. I've lost so many live matches now I feel like just hitting Forfeit every time Arcee pops up. Doesn't help that my rolls are constantly lowest while my opponents are constantly highest, and phantom targeting never works in my favor.

    My team is
    FoC Grim
    FoC Magnus
    FoC Soundblaster
    G1 Soundwave or Trans Megs

I would be so happy if dena implemented event points via bot battles, not just pvp. Even if they were reduced points. I'd rather have to play twice as much against bots than ever having to pvp again.

Dumb question, but when you say you are farming cores... How do you do that?

I go up against bot teams, but rarely get core drops. Is there some other trick I should know, or is it just bad luck?

Farming cores = Battling with the aim of getting specific cores to drop during said battle.

For example, if you needed Exclusive cores, you'd seek out bot teams with Astrotrain, Slipstream or Sunstorm - since there is a chance they drop these when killed. Another, is if you wanted to build Blaster (which requires 50 Blaster cores), then you'd take every opportunity to fight teams featuring him. Normally, if a specific resource is used to build a bot, then he has a chance to drop it (e.g., Barricade can drop both his character cores and/or support cores).

    Some farming strategies include:
    • Using at least 3 cubes or more (to increase the chances that the right core/s drop)
    • Targeting and killing the bot you're farming first before anyone else
    • In the Daily Campaign Hard missions, you can repeatedly fight bots with character cores and farm them by Forfeiting the match before you win (or simply losing and trying again) because you keep any cores dropped.

It can be frustrating when you can't consistently farm cores from previous event characters that you may have missed (e.g., Long Haul so you can create Devastator, Windblade, etc.) either because live players don't use them or bot teams don't feature them. Basically, if they don't show up, how can you farm their cores!? :cry

New mini event is up: transmetals 2 ep. 1. Reward bot has 160 health, and so does the pan-mini-event core bot (megaton transmetal 2); I suspect we will be seeing a bloating of typical hp from here on out. I remember the old days when blitzwing was a game changer…

    Stats for trans. megs. 2:

    Bot form:
    ms 19/ms 19/ms 19/52/55
    No passive

    Dragon/car form:
    35/37/49/52/53
    Passive: team attack 5

    Dragon form:
    fs 25/fs 32/fs 44/48/49
    Passive: team fs buff 5

Seems like an useful bot to have, but more damage oriented than anything else. Decent fs and high hp would regardless make him a formidable opponent. At least he doesn't have a team armor buff; that would just be too much. I'd hate to face a team with him, opmax, and the dinobot transmetal reward, three bots with 160 hp and at least armor buff 5 would be quite the challenge.

EDIT: forgot that you can just check the exclusive tab for info! Ah well.

I've also noticed that I've gotten all bot teams so far. Are all of these mini-events bot only, or have I just been lucky enough to keep picking up bot teams?

Yep... looks like 160 HP is the new normal for Epic bots.

And definitely liking "Dragon Megatron" with my team aiming to finish Top 500 all mini-events so we can get 35 of his cores as a reward :D  The other 3 Epics are okay but if I had to choose 1, I'd go with Cheetor TM.

And yes, I too remember when multiple Blitzwings and Slipstreams meant a killer PvP line up :thumbs2:

I've gotten a mix of PvP and bot battles so its not exclusively bots anymore. Looks like this will be a competitive event (no longer for newbies).

More shitty pvp...ugh! Already only seeing teams of arcee/FoC grim/FoC magnus/opmax. So far that one mix is all I'm facing when it's a live player.

In a full days of battle I've had multiple fights against megatron, I've got 3 cores so far.... pretty sad, and the PVP thing I'm getting smoked running 2 lio convoys, SoundBlaster and FOC fireflight... its hit and miss... i'd say I'm losing about 60% of my pvp battles and winning all my vs comp

Up to eight cores of the new Megs, ran several megsx2 bot battles, three cubes each last night, no cores dropped. Also hit several pvp bot battles with him on the teams, five cubes each time, no cores dropped.

What do you guys think about the new bots? Anyone actually gonna use dinobot? I tried a team of him with FoC Magnus, FoC Soundblaster, OpMax and kinda like it.
