..but the toys are still produced by Takaratomy. E-Hobby presumably designed the new color scheme and decos for the exclusive toy.
The old Robots in Disguise 6 changer Megatron is IDW Gigatron. I found one Misb last spring just for Empire of Stone, he's perfect next to Generations Drift. I'd kill for an IDW Ratchet, Dai Atlas would be great as well.
Well I wouldn't go that far, but they had me at 'destruction activities'. On a more personal note, if there's a decent chance of me getting a job I applied for a few days ago, this could be one of the first things I treat myself to. That is, if I get back into collecting. I am behind in Generations by most of the CW and some of the Dark Cybertron stuff, not to mention any Masterpiece after MP-20.
He looks pretty cool. Not one of my favorite molds, but this deco is tempting - especially with the con backstory.
I was thinking about an updated version, but you got a point, he's the right size and all. And i know where to get one, so that's bought I don't know what we have to do to get a decent Ratchet toy. A Paradron Medic redeco of Arcee would be nice too. Speaking of wich, seeing how it took turning her into an invincible violent transgender to get a toy of her, maybe Roberts should turn Ratchet and Morphine into a pair of serial killers, they are both doctors so they got that working for them and what works for one bot... On the other hand we already got Pharma, and he ain't getting a toy either... goes another urban myth
Well, whatever one is thinking about the IDW Arcee's background, it can not be argued that Furman did succeed at placing this character in the spotlight. Controversy is a powerful tool.
Exactly, but she allready was a fanfavorite since the cartoon , and still even after the controversy it took for her to appear regularly in the then RID comic to get a toy. Wich from a buisness POV i can not get my mind around: You would think Hasbro would be quicker to cash in on the succes of trademarks like Arcee, Galvatron or Ratchet.
Let's hope it's the last time he writes for Transformers. Empire of Stone was terrible. Hellbat was pretty one note as was Gigatron, Grit was actually decent, I wouldn't mind him showing up again.
Pre-orders up at RobotKingdom (Available in March 2016): Takara Transformers E-hobby Exclusive Transformers Legends DeadRock. Preorder, Available in March 2016.
Neat. Strange that we need e-Hobby to get this while we got instead more "shattered glass" tripe from our local TF "club," but actually when I think about it, it isn't strange at all. Just stupid. Sometimes I wonder if it is impossible to have the pulse of the fandom, but then TakaraTomy reminds me it isn't hard at all. He looks like he has a lot of paint.
Besides Stepper, what Shattered Glass stuff have we had recently? Nova Prime is both G1 and SG. Randy
Shane McCarthy, talk about controversy Hellbat was actually one of the things i liked most about EOS, i felt he adressed a very Cybertronian question: How does it affect someone's psyche to live the greater part of their live as a soldier during a million-year war during wich you see civilizations being born and die (some of them because of you) all the time being painfully aware that this could go on forever because you and your race seem to be all but immortal. Granted, Hellbat's answer to the question was somewhat nihilistic
Another topic, another chance for AB to slam Hasbro and shill for TT $60 is quite hefty, but I do like the color. I actually feel this coloring suits the toy much better than the original red and white palette. I'll definitely consider him.
